  1. Tea at Beckenhampublished at 16:00 BST 15 May

    Kent 247-1 v Durham

An excellent session for Kent comes to an end at Beckenham, with opener Ben Dawkins unbeaten on 118.

He and Sam Northeast have made Durham pay for dropping Dawkins early in the afternoon by adding 186 for the second wicket.

Northeast is 76 not out, having come to the crease when Zak Crawley was caught off Ben Stokes during the morning.

Stokes has bowled 11 overs so far for figures of 1-46 but he, like his fellow seamers, is struggling on a pitch offering little assistance.

  2. Postpublished at 15:57 BST 15 May

    Essex v Leics 237-5

First bowl of the day for leg-spinner Matt Critchley.

Shades on, he immediately finds a good line and length to Stevie Eskinazi and in a matter of mere moments a maiden over is complete.

  3. Tea in Southamptonpublished at 15:57 BST 15 May

    Hampshire 128-6 v Notts

The two teams are off again at the Utilita Bowl - this time for tea, although conditions do look gloomy and the hover cover is coming on for the duration of this interval.

Felix Organ has played a punchy 21 not out since joining Delano Potgieter at the crease and Hants have put on 23 for the seventh wicket.

  4. 200 runs

200 up for Glamorganpublished at 15:52 BST 15 May

    Glamorgan 200-3 v Warwickshire

Glamorgan reach 200 in the 60th over at Edgbaston, a remarkable effort and a position of strength they find themselves in having been rocked so early here on day one.

The highly experienced Colin Ingram has joined Ben Kellaway at the crease after the loss of Kiran Carlson - Kellaway is five runs away from three figures, which would cap a remarkable innings, all things considered.

  5. Tea at Southportpublished at 15:52 BST 15 May

    Lancs v Worcs 220-8

Tea on day one at Southport, and after an even opening session, the second session belongs to Lancashire.

The Red Rose have claimed six wickets after lunch with George Balderson currently boasting figures of 3-50.

Dan Lategan played well for his 53 but he was dismissed by a nice bit of bowling around the wicket from Tom Bailey and Tom Taylor's (41 off 42) counter-attack was ended when he was trapped lbw by Paul Coughlin.

  6. Tea in Bristolpublished at 15:49 BST 15 May

    Gloucs 99-6 v Northants

An early interval in Brstol where the rain has stopped for now and the mopping up is ongoing.

We'll attempt to resume at 1600 BST.

  7. 50 runs

50 for Jonny Bairstowpublished at 15:49 BST 15 May

    Yorkshire 218-4 v Surrey

Cut away down through backward point for four and Jonny Bairstow has ticked on to 50 off 89 balls.

A very good captain's knock from Bairstow for Yorkshire who were in a spot of bother when he walked to the crease.

His partnership with Adam Lyth is now worth 97.

  8. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 15:48 BST 15 May

    Somerset 238-4 v Sussex

Fynn Hudson-Prentice will see out the session with the ball.

A full length and defended by Archie Vaughan to mid off.

A shorter ball is defended to point. Vaughan is a bit cramped for room as he tucks the fourth ball away for a leg bye.

Tom Abell sees out the over and that's tea. Somerset will be fairly pleased with the score - but encouragement for Sussex, who removed Tom Lammonby and James Rew in that session - both via fairly soft dismissals.

Lammonby was stumped off a wide ball and Rew sliced a drive to James Coles in the off side.

  9. Women's One-day Cup updatepublished at 15:47 BST 15 May

The Blaze are 119-3 in the 26th over, chasing a target of 210 to beat Hampshire at Trent Bridge.

Tammy Beaumont has 56 not out off 77 balls for the home side, who are seeking their seventh win in eight games.

You can find scorecard updates here.

  10. Postpublished at 15:42 BST 15 May

    Essex 230-5 v Leics

    Change of tactic.

Ben Cox walks right across his stumps and produces a perfectly played ramp shot off Sam Cook for four.

Cook responds with a quicker delivery which Cox does well to prevent hitting his stumps.

  11. Postpublished at 15:42 BST 15 May

    Somerset 237-4 v Sussex

Tom Haines is bowling well wide of off stump and Archie Vaughan leaves the ball alone.

There is no deep cover so this feels like a deliberate ploy.

Vaughan drives the last ball neatly through cover for one to keep the strike.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:42 BST 15 May

    Carlson c Barnard b Mousley 85 (Glamorgan 194-3 v Warwickshire)

A wicket at Edgbaston, at long last!

The partnership between Kiran Carlson and Ben Kellaway, which has had a stranglehold on proceedings since the first half-hour of today's play, has been broken.

After 55 overs of seam, Bears captain Ed Barnard turns to spinner Dan Mousley, who claims the significant wicket of Carlson.

Mousley, who has just been announced as captain for the England Lions, tears away in delight as Ed Barnard takes the catch in the slips. Carlson's bemused reaction suggest he is not over the moon with the decision, which suggests it may have been pad rather than bat.

A terrific knock all the same, but he falls 15 runs short of his century.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:42 BST 15 May

Swanepoel lbw Hartley 21 (Lancs v Worcs 211-8)

Beyers Swanepoel is trapped lbw and Worcestershire are eight down now.

Around the wicket does the trick for Tom Hartley who gets his first and Lancashire look like they will have a bat later today on day one in Southport.

  14. Postpublished at 15:39 BST 15 May

    Somerset 236-4 v Sussex

The scoring had slowed a bit since James Rew was dismissed - but that's a gorgeous straight drive from Tom Abell for four runs.

Immaculate. Just pushed through the line.

Four more steered to deep third with soft hands, wide of the two slips.

One more run, nudged behind square leg. Single to Archie Vaughan, pulling to long leg. 10 runs off the over.

  15. Five-wicket haul for Ben Aitchisonpublished at 15:37 BST 15 May

    Middx 159-9 v Derbys

Toby Roland-Jones tries an ambitious drive off Ben Aitchison and is bowled through a large 'gate'.

That is Aitchison's second five-for in first-class cricket and a reward for an excellent spell of bowling at Lord's today.

Beg Ben chimes for 5 at Lords! Having a fantastic season after a couple of frustrating years with injury. Keep it up, young man.

    Tom, Derby

  16. Postpublished at 15:34 BST 15 May

    Essex v Leics 219-5

The three wickets they have taken notwithstanding, a measure of Essex's fightback in this game is the Leicestershire scoring rate which was 5.6 at lunch but is now down to under four an over.

Stevie Eskinazi and Ben Cox are hanging in there for the visitors - Eskinazi has 15 off 35 balls and Cox 11 off 43.

  17. Postpublished at 15:34 BST 15 May

    Somerset 226-4 v Sussex

A good LBW shout from Tom Haines as the ball swings in and strikes Archie Vaughan on the pad.

Just outside the line? Certainly very close.

    Maiden over.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:32 BST 15 May

    Brown c sub b Tongue (Hampshire 105-6 v Notts)

Another big wicket for the champions - and this one belongs to Josh Tongue, who deserves the rewards for his hard work today.

Tongue cramps Ben Brown for room and he pops the ball up to backward square leg where the catch is taken by the sub fielder.

Felix Organ comes to the crease.

  19. Dawkins makes most of dropped catchpublished at 15:32 BST 15 May

    Kent 221-1 v Durham

They say catches win matches and Ben Dawkins has become the beneficiary of a big drop today.

He was on 63 just after lunch when he edged Ben Raine to gully. It looked a straightforward chance for the normally dependable David Bedingham, but for some reason he put it down.

Maybe his hands were too cold in the chilly northerly wind here at exposed Beckenham. But it allowed Dawkins to remain in the middle and he now has his first century, in what is his eighth first-class match.

It's generally been plain sailing on this flat track. I am already struggling to see how either side takes 20 wickets on it over this weekend.

  20. 200 runs

200 up for Yorkshirepublished at 15:32 BST 15 May

    Yorkshire 200-4 v Surrey

Jonny Bairstow works a single into the off side to bring up Yorkshire's 200.

The home side will be happy with their afternoon's work following the dismissals of Joe Root and Harry Brook earlier in the session.
