Beautiful bowling from Kranti Goud. A great diving effort from Richa Ghosh and that really should have been taken.

    Another opportunity goes down.

  2. dropped catch

Amin dropped on 4published at 6 overs

    Pak 18-1

    It is all going on!

Sidra Amin gets a life early on as she pushes forward at a lovely out-swinger from Kranti Goud and gets a nick.

The ball goes between keeper and first slip and Richa Ghosh gets a glove to it but can't hold on. To add to Goud's frustration, the ball runs away for four.

Why, whenever there's something controversial happening within the women's game, is Deepti Sharma involved?

Play is back under way and while Pakistan will feel aggrieved, there is still a run chase to focus on.

Sidra Amin is in at three and faces a huge lbw shout first ball after big in-swinger from Renuka Singh.

After a golden duck in the last game against Bangladesh, she's relieved to see the umpire give it not out. Good job, too, because ball-tracking shows it was hitting the stumps and umpire's call on impact - very close.

Thick edge next ball from Amin and it gets her off the mark, four down to deep third.

That's a shocking choice from the umpires there - there's clearly a rule that a bat is allowed to bounce over the crease to stop exactly this sort of thing.

Well, this is controversial. Muneeba Ali was told to stay on the field of play by captain Fatima Sana while they tried to argue with that.

By the laws of the game, I think Pakistan might well be within their rights to say that an error has been made by the umpires.

Fatima has told Muneeba not to cross the boundary.

That is quite astounding. She wasn't attempting a second run. It is bizarre decision-making.

Muneeba run out (Deepti) 2 (Pak 6-1)

Goodness me. How have we got to this point?

After that lbw shout, there was a shy at the stumps and a direct hit. Muneeba Ali had grounded her bat well before it, though, and initially it was given not out on the screen.

However, the third umpire has gone back for another look because when the stumps were broken, the bat was in the air and there was nothing else behind the line.

She wasn't attempting another run so should this be out? I'm not so sure.

We've got another slight break because one of those flying insects has found itself in the eye of one of the India fielders.

Not the first time we've had this kind of delay today and I dare say it won't be the last.

Without that first ball of the innings, when India lost a review, you wonder if India might have gone upstairs a few more times since.

After playing out 11 dot balls, Sadaf Shamas gets off the mark with a drive through backward point.

She was not in control of the shot, though, and the ball went at a very catchable height. Had the fielder been a couple of yards to her left, it would have been a straightforward catch.

Big lbw shout to end the over as Kranti Goud swings the ball in to hit Muneeba Ali on the front pad. Given not out and no review. Maybe just pitched outside leg?

On paper it's an achieveable target but based on past performances and meetings between these two sides, it's a mountain to climb. You feel they may come to regret Richa Ghosh's innings, it kind of took India away from Pakistan.

Good again from Renuka Singh as she continues to swing the ball away from the left-handed Muneeba Ali.

No plays and misses suggest the Pakistan opener is adjusting but the batting side aren't going anywhere quickly right now.

Muneeba Ali is a very capable batter but she can be a nervous and circumspect starter.

  16. Pak 4-0published at 2 overs

    Target 248

There's swing for Kranti Goud in her first one and one of the two runs from it comes when she finds too much lateral movement - wide outside off.

Otherwise a solid start from the young seamer.

It's so difficult for the opening batter here - you don't know if it'll go on with the seam or move away from the right-hander.

    Target 248

Superb first over from Renuka Singh and there another huge appeal third ball, lbw against Sadaf Shamas.

However, having lost one review already they opt against going for another as there was bat involved and they can't be sure if it was bat or pad first.

Bad news, India fans, it was pad first and the ball was going on to hit leg stump - that would have been out.

Another beauty from Renuka Singh swings in then beats Shamas. The India bowler can feel hard done by not to end the over with a wicket.

Well, it's easy to see why Renuka Singh wasn't too interested.

That missed the bat by a long way and it pitched well outside leg, too, so lbw isn't in play either.

India burn a review first ball.

  20. India reviewpublished at 0.1 overs

    What a start!

India think they've taken a wicket first ball as Renuka Singh swings one past the edge of Muneeba Ali.

It's sent upstairs by Harmanpreet Kaur with those behind the stumps convinced there was an edge. The bowler is less convinced...
