  1. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:05 BST 10 May

    Sussex 430 v Leics 328 & 38-3

A good first session for the hosts who are right in control of this contest at the first break in play.

John Simpson's barnstorming second century of the season saw Sussex climb to 430, a lead of 102 after the exchange of first innings.

And now three wickets has left the Leics response faltering fairly badly and still trailing by 64 runs.

Rishi Patel remains unbeaten on 24 and has Jonathan Tattersall for company after the break.

  2. Josh Tongue goes again!published at 13:02 BST 10 May

    Notts 415 ao v Surrey 306-5

    Grace Ballinger
The Blaze and Manchester Super Giants seamer

Shortly after getting Dan Lawrence, Tongue bowls Adam Thomas.

We just mentioned a potential momentum shift after Lawrence's wicket, and now with another wicket just before lunch, Notts will be delighted with how the final 30 minutes of the morning session went.

Tongue, who has bowled nicely all morning, finally gets his reward with two wickets in two overs.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:01 BST 10 May

    Barnard c Cliff b Van Beek 60 (Warwickshire 147 & 391-5 v Yorkshire 152)

Ed Barnard has hit three sixes but is out as he tries for a fourth.

The Bears skipper caught at long leg as he attempted to pull Logan van Beek away.

It looks like he tried to pull out of the shot at the last minute and didn't really go through with it properly but by then it was too late and his disappointment is clear.

But his contribution has pushed the Bears up towards 400 in their second innings.

  4. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 12:59 BST 10 May

    Thomas b Tongue 46 (Notts 415 v Surrey 306-6)

Josh Tongue strikes again on the stroke of lunch as Adam Thomas misses out on a half-century, getting a bottom edge onto the stumps.

Four wickets now for Tongue and those have checked Surrey, who are still 109 behind.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:58 BST 10 May

    Robson c Bailey b Balderson 14 (Lancs v Middlesex 36-1 - target 117)

    Much needed wicket for Lancashire!

George Balderson comes on in the seventh over to try and counter Middlesex's flying start - and straight away Sam Robson clips him to midwicket, where Tom Bailey flings himself to his left to pouch the chance.

Max Holden is the new man in for the visitors, who need 81 more to win.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:57 BST 10 May

    Holland c Clark b Crocombe 1 (Leics 37-3, trail by 65 runs)

The Foxes captain tries to pull out of that shot after initially thinking about it but his hands are not quite soft enough.

The edge flies low to Tom Clark who takes a good low catch just in front of his left foot at second slip.

Leics were in a spot of bother before this but they are right in it now, three down and still trailing by plenty.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:55 BST 10 May

    Gubbins c Walter b Harmer 71 (Hants 125-4, lead by 87 runs)

Huge blow for Essex as the well-set Nick Gubbins edges to slip where Paul Walter takes a regulation catch.

There is quite a bit of turn from the Essex spinner but Gubbins thrashes his bat in the air in anger.

  8. Notts back in the driving seat at Trent Bridgepublished at 12:54 BST 10 May

    Notts 415 v Surrey 306-5

    Grace Ballinger
The Blaze and Manchester Super Giants seamer

Josh Tongue finally gets his man - Dan Lawrence departs after an excellent 104.

A perfect length delivery by Tongue, Lawrence edges trying to drive and is caught by keeper Kyle Verreynne.

Tongue gets his third in his 22nd over of the match. It is great to see him firing and fit, and visibly, he doesn't seem to have lost any pace through his spells.

That could be a pivotal moment in the game - shifting the momentum back into the reigning champions' favour.

  9. Division Two updatepublished at 12:53 BST 10 May

    #bbccricket

Durham's chase of 308 in Worcester ended at 268, and the hosts are currently 17 without loss with a lead of 57 at New Road.

Northants continue to frustrate Derbyshire, largely thanks to Calvin Harrison (72*) and the visitors are 166-6.

Gloucestershire have moved to 37-1 at the start of their second innings against Kent, a lead of 35.

Lancashire heading for another defeat when victory was there for the taking. Another season in Div 2 beckons.

    Kieran, Preston

Always the same with Somerset, their failure to bowl teams out twice always lets them down and also their failure after a good first innings more often than not a poor second but fingers crossed they can still pull this one around.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:50 BST 10 May

    Lawrence c Verreynne b Tongue 104 (Notts 415 v Surrey 305-5)

Finally, Josh Tongue has the breakthrough for Nottinghamshire!

He tempts Dan Lawrence with one that leaves the centurion and Kyle Verreynne takes the edge behind the stumps.

Interestingly, Surrey have sent Gus Atkinson out at seven to join Adam Thomas.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Abellpublished at 12:50 BST 10 May

    Glamorgan 229 v Somerset 354 & 135-9

Top scorer in the first innings, and top scorer in the second for his county. Tom Abell may not get to the 86 he got to on Friday, but this is a most valuable half century, as the visitors stretch their lead to 260.

Somerset were 29-4 when Abell came to the crease, and he now has over 550 runs for the season.

  13. Postpublished at 12:49 BST 10 May

    Lancs v Middlesex 13-0 (target 117)

Plenty of tension around Old Trafford as Lancashire strive for a pre-lunch breakthrough, but they haven't come close to one in the first four overs of this chase.

Middlesex will feel they're on track if they can keep all their wickets intact going into the interval.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Ed Barnardpublished at 12:46 BST 10 May

    Warwickshire 147 & 384-4 v Yorkshire 152 - Warwicks lead by 379 runs

The skipper goes to 50 from just 38 balls as the Bears put their foot on the accelerator.

Five fours and three sixes for Barnard in 66 minutes.

Sam Hain is on 91 not out and their partnership is approaching 100.

  15. 6 runs

Tom Abellpublished at 12:45 BST 10 May

    Glamorgan 229 v Somerset 354 & 133-9

With captain Lewis Gregory gone, Tom Abell wasting no time getting the tally ticking over.

A massive six down the ground - the third of the entire match and first of the day - will be very well received by the Somerset camp.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:44 BST 10 May

    Budinger b Hudson-Prentice 0 (Leics 32-3, trail by 70 runs)

Lovely line bowling around the wicket from Finn Hudson-Prentice who angles this in and straightens it a touch to brush the top of the off stump bail.

If Ollie Robinson's off stump demolition took the first this was a feather duster moment.

No less damaging for Leics though who are in real trouble and in danger of slipping to defeat in this contest today now.

  17. Yorkshire seamers struggling at Edgbastonpublished at 12:41 BST 10 May

    Warks 147 ao & 362-4 v Yorks 152 (Warks lead by 357)

    Grace Ballinger
The Blaze and Manchester Super Giants seamer

It hasn't been a good morning for Yorkshire, who are being put to the sword by Sam Hain (83*) and Ed Barnard (40*).

It has been a difficult start to the campaign for Yorkshire's overseas, Logan van Beek, and his first ball of the day has been dispatched for six by Barnard into the Hollies - the ball temporarily lost.

van Beek has bowled 12 overs and gone for nearly a run a ball (12 overs 1-68).

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:41 BST 10 May

    Gregory b van der Gugten 45 (Glamorgan 229 v Somerset 354 & 127-9)

The captain is gone! Timm van der Gugten removes Lewis Gregory at just the right time for the hosts.

45 off 61 balls could yet prove to be very useful for his side, a captain's innings indeed in the circumstances.

  20. Durham not at their best in Worcesterpublished at 12:39 BST 10 May

    Worcs 308 & 6-0 v Durham 268 - Durham trail by 46 runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have not been at their best in this one and have conceded a first innings lead to a Worcestershire side missing a number of key bowlers. They have certainly been below par.

There's been a bit of uneven bounce at times, but they have just been dismissed for 268 and have only picked up four bonus points to The Pears' five.

Graham Clark had been batting nicely but then holed out to square leg on the boundary when on 78. He didn't fully get hold of an Ethan Brookes delivery and was caught by Dan Lategan. And that was about that. Ben Raine was then caught in the deep off Brookes on 13 to bring the innings to an end.

Earlier Ollie Robinson's struggle for runs continued as he was out for the second match in a row on five. This time he edged Tom Taylor to Jake Libby in the gully, who took a great, low catch.

Matthew Waite finished with 3-43 and Tom Taylor 3-64, while Brookes took 2-10 in 7.3 overs.

It will be interesting to see how this one develops in the afternoon session.
