    Middx 445-9 v Glocs 216 & 199-8 (trail by 30 runs)

Four fielders crowded around the bat for Zafar Gohar with slip, silly point, short cover and leg but Will Williams and Matt Taylor are holding out.

Taylor has just released a bit of pressure by punching Naavya Sharma through the cover region for a first boundary in nine overs.

Smith doesn’t comes into the equation as a wicket keeper. Foakes can bat but saves so many runs behind the stumps he doesn’t need to score as many to balance things out . Best keeper at Surrey by far and in the country

Muyeye dropped on ninepublished at 15:03 BST 6 April

Kent 50-3 - need 357 to win at Durham

Oof. Is this another. Ben Raine gets Tawanda Muyeye to spoon towards Alex Lees at cover but he can't get his fingers under the ball as it dies on him.

Did it carry? Just about. It's a chance. The skipper stays on the deck with his face in the grass for a moment of contemplation.

  4. dropped catch

Bell-Drummond dropped on fourpublished at 15:01 BST 6 April

Kent 50-3 - need 357 to win at Durham

    Big chance goes begging.

Kasey Aldridge is into the attack for Durham and finds the edge of Daniel Bell-Drummond's bat straight away but Emilio Gay spurns a fairly routine chest-high catch at second slip, moving to his left in front of Ben McKinney.

    How important could that be?

  5. Postpublished at 15:00 BST 6 April

    Yorks 98-1 - target 295

Mason Crane hasn't found the consistency he showed in the first innings and concedes another boundary as Adam Lyth sweeps a low full toss to square leg.

Time for seamer Andy Gorvin to have a bowl and Sam Whiteman 'fiddles' his first delivery down to the rope at third man.

Notts 52-0 - target 417 to win at Somerset

Migael Pretorius comes into the attack in place of the tiring Alfie Ogborne and Ben Slater welcomes him with a crack through the covers for four.

  7. Postpublished at 14:58 BST 6 April

    Warwickshire 544 v Surrey 328 & 345-3

It's looking very comfortable for Surrey now as Jamie Smith 120 and Dan Lawrence 111 accumulate runs and head towards a double century partnership.

Surrey lead by 129 and if there was another day left this game would be nicely poised.

As it is, it's surely handshakes all round at 5 O'Clock.

50 for Bartlettpublished at 14:58 BST 6 April

    Northants 126-7 (target 321)

George Bartlett turns Ajeet Singh Dale off his pads for a single and the former Somerset man has his half century. It has taken 60 balls and is the 15th of his first class career.

Well done Jamie Smith for getting a hundred on what is now an extension of the M42. Foakes got his when Surrey were 60-6 and in danger of being blown away. He is also by a significant margin the best England qualified keeper. Time to bring him back for England.

    Chris, Hampshire

Have Surrey just fixed England’s number 3 problem? Or does smith even open? He’s been brilliant today.

    Jacob, Tenerife

This is going to rumble on and on, isn't it? Roll on June... and spare a thought for Ollie Pope who feels very much the odd man out in almost every equation we have seen on the page this weekend.

    Yorks 89-1 - target 295

There is turn there, but it's slow turn.

Spinners Mason Crane and Ben Kellaway continue to operate in tandem for Glamorgan and that's a good maiden by the latter to Adam Lyth, who is now firmly ensconced on 62 not out.

  11. Postpublished at 14:51 BST 6 April

Kent 46-3 - need 357 to win at Durham

Ben Raine gets some late out-swing with his latest delivery which leaves Tawanda Muyeye on the deck trying to take evasive action.

The last thing Kent want to see when they're already under the pump.

Daniel Bell-Drummond gets off the mark with a lovely swish through the covers off Matt Potts to start the 16th over.

He's been in rather patchy form this spring so that will make the skipper feel much better.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:49 BST 6 April

    Hose c Guest b Andersson 52 (Worcestershire 185-6 trail by 128)

Shortly after bringing up a well measured half century Adam Hose edges a short delivery from Martin Andersson to be caught behind.

Not the greatest delivery Andersson has ever bowled but he's having quite a game after batting brilliantly to make 228 in the first innings.

Derbyshire just four wickets away now with still 50 overs left in the day.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:48 BST 6 April

    Sales c Anderson b Hartley 24 (Northants 122-7 Target 321)

Tom Hartley has drawn a big shot from James Sales and he has top edged it to mid off.

Sales has been picking his moments well but has gone for a big drive over mid on here, is through the shot a little early and skies it with a leading edge to mid off.

The ball is up in the air a long time but Jimmy Anderson makes no mistake taking the catch over his left shoulder running back.

  14. Postpublished at 14:48 BST 6 April

Notts 43-0 - target 417 to win at Somerset

Nice clip off his hips from Ben Slater off Alfie Ogborne yields a boundary to fine leg to take him into the 30s.

The Somerset bowler is struggling to maintain the pressure he exerted in those first few overs and the looser balls are now being punished but Jack Leach has been on the money from the other end so far.

  15. Potts completes the Crawley doublepublished at 14:44 BST 6 April

    Kent 41-3 v Durham. Target 357.

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

This has been a really good spell of bowling from Durham's Matty Potts and he's bagged Zak Crawley for the second time in the game. Both LBW.

He was out for 20 in this innings, having departed for nine in the first. This time around the ball hit him just above the ankle.

Kent had already lost Ben Compton for eight after he edged Kemar Roach to Kasey Aldridge at second slip.

Durham have also just taken the wicket of Sam Northeast as well. He was bowled by Ben Raine for 10. That was a huge wicket given how much Northeast has prospered when playing Durham.

He made 94 in the first innings, to add to his four other half centuries against them and two centuries. The centuries came in the same match in 2017 - Matty Potts' debut! I wonder what happened to him?

Looks like another long season of the same old same old for us Kent fans

    Steve, Kent

RE England wicketkeeper discussion, I'd throw Rew into that conversation as well as Smith and Foakes. He's a special player.

    James, Kent

I believe the collective noun is 'an embarrassment' of wickies.

Notts 33-0 - target 417 to win at Somerset

Ben Slater produces two lovely pull shots through mid-wicket to find the rope off Alfie Ogborne in the space of three balls and has 24* from 28 balls.

Eight overs gone and we'll see some spin from Jack Leach.

  18. 50 runs

for Adam Lythpublished at 14:39 BST 6 April

Just 57 balls needed for Adam Lyth's first 50 of the season for Yorkshire as he hammers a Mason Crane full toss to the mid-wicket boundary for four. Another 216 needed with 51 overs left to do it.

  19. 100 runs

100 for Dan Lawrencepublished at 14:37 BST 6 April

    Warwickshire 544 v Surrey 328 & 329-3

After Jamie Smith, now Dan Lawrence. The pair haven't been greatly troubled by the new ball.

Lawrence brings up his 20th first class century with his 14th four running the ball down to third. He's done it off 152 deliveries.

Surrey now lead by 113 with just over an hour to go to tea so they'll probably have to continue for a while after the interval to make the game absolutely safe.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:36 BST 6 April

Northeast b Raine 10 (Kent 41-3 - need 357 to win at Durham)

    That's a big one.

Ben Raine gets one to nip back off the seam and sends Sam Northeast's off-stump flying.

94 in the first innings but he's gone for 10 and Raine is jumping for joy. He knows how big that is.

Durham have three wickets, they need seven more in 53 overs and change for what would be a memorable win on their Division Two return.

Daniel Bell-Drummond joins Tawanda Muyeye in the middle with his side up against it.
