Bowling change by Sussex as off-spinner Jack Carson comes into the attack. Ben Cox and Stevie Eskinazi posted a 50 partnership in the previous over with a single for Cox off Tom Price.

    Clark c Compton b Stuurman 3 (Durham 110-4 - leading Kent by 248 runs)

Kent have a second of the morning as Glenton Stuurman strikes for the first time in this second innings, getting Graham Clark to miscue to Ben Compton at point for three.

Colin Ackermann is the new man in, joining David Bedingham.

Interesting spell, this. A couple more for the visitors and you never know...

    Middx 445-9d v Glocs 216 & 127-3

Huge appeal from Ryan Higgins as he raps Miles Hammond on the pad with a delivery angled in from wide of the crease.

That is a very close call as it hits just below the knee roll. Maybe just going down and Hammond survives.

  4. Postpublished at 11:25 BST 6 April

    Glamorgan 302 & 123-3 v Yorks 226

Glorious by Glamorgan skipper Kiran Carlson.

Jack White is slightly too full and Carlson clears his front leg before picking it up over mid-on for the day's first boundary.

We expected him to get going, but instead he's gone.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore top-edges Liam Patterson-White into the sky while trying to launch him over the deep mid-wicket boundary and the bowler keeps his cool to take the towering catch to his left for his first wicket in his 22nd over, having gone for 92 runs.

A fine 104-run knock is over, as is a record stand of 224 runs for the second wicket.

Tom Lammonby heads to the middle to join James Rew, who replaced him in the order yesterday when he felt unwell.

That line isn't going to get the job done for Sussex.

Henry Crocombe strays outside leg stump and Stevie Eskinazi flicks it for four, progressing to 29 not out.

Great effort to get Riverside open today for Day 4 of Durham Vs Kent. Yesterday wasn't a settled day in NE England! Gonna be a dramatic day as Kent, do, just, have a chance but Durham have surely more of a chance?! Hopefully not a draw!

    Glamorgan 302 & 117-3 v Yorks 226

Looks like the Yorkshire tactic is skipper Dom Bess bowling spin at one end and the seamers rotating at the other.

They are going to need to do some early damage if they are to have a chance of forcing a win in this one.

A bit of turn from Bess and Kiran Carlson has to hurriedly adjust his shot to keep it away from his stumps.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore follows James Rew in making a first century of the season.

He brings it up from 167 balls with a trademark pull shot off Dillon Pennington for his 14th four.

This is now Somerset's record second-wicket stand against Notts at 219 runs and counting.

When will these two really put the pedal down to swell their 235 run lead, though?

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:15 BST 6 April

    Harrison b Bailey 0 (Northants 23-3 Target 321)

    Calvin Harrison goes second ball.

The all-rounder has had a good game but that will not be going on the highlights reel as he shoulders arms to a delivery that nips back late and clips his off stump.

Great start for Lancs who now have Nathan McSweeney in their sights. Big job ahead for the South Australia captain on debut.

Dropped catchpublished at 11:14 BST 6 April

  12. wicket

    Conway c Hartley b Bailey 5 (Northants 23-2 Target 321)

And Lancs have an early breakthrough with the nightwatch of Harry Conway officially over.

This just leaves Conway as his defensive prod proves not quite enough, the edge flying hip high to Tom Hartley's hands to the right of third slip.

That brings Calvin Harrison to the wicket.

    McKinney b Milnes 38 (Durham 99-3 - leading Kent by 237 runs)

Matt Milnes has his first wicket back in a Kent shirt and he's worked very hard for this.

He angles one in at left-hander Ben McKinney who can't jam the bat down in time and the ball flies past the edge to smash into the outside of off-stump.

He'll go after an eye-catching 38 and a stand of 73 for the third wicket.

Graham Clark joins David Bedingham in the middle.

Appeal from Henry Crocombe after he strikes Stevie Eskinazi on the pads. Nothing doing from the umpire.

"It's been an excellent pitch for the first game of the season - well done to the groundstaff," says BBC Sussex's Adrian Harms.

  15. Underway at Edgbastonpublished at 11:09 BST 6 April

    Warwickshire 544 v Surrey 328 & 175-3

Surrey see off the first two overs of the final day bowled by Bamber and Woakes.

Dan Lawrence has added 6 to his overnight score while Jamie Smith remains on 51 not out.

Tom Lawes is expected to bat for Surrey. He took part in the morning warm-ups after recovering from the glancing blow to his face he took on day three leaving him with a split lip.

The visitors still trail by 109 and have a large job on their hands to avoid an opening round defeat.

  20. Prompt start in CLSpublished at 11:05 BST 6 April

Durham 93-2 lead Kent by 221

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

We've lost 128 overs in this game because of Storm Dave. The covers were blown off the square on Saturday night which meant the strip was too wet for play yesterday.

It's nice and sunny today we have highs of around 13C so we have a prompt start.

A scaffolding tower, which collapsed during the storm on Saturday, was holding the sightscreen at the Finchale End. It is now on its side, wrapped in white sheets, but the groundstaff have also brought in a replacement screen from the nursery ground behind us because I think a few players were concerned about their sight lines.

Kent also need to do something about their over rate because at the moment it is minus three and they could face a points deduction if Durham declare quickly.
