The atmosphere at Lord's is fantastic! Great to see so many young girls and their parents here too. What an inspiration for these kids!

Lauren Bell has claimed England's only wicket so far, that of Georgia Voll.

But since then, Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield have rebuilt serenely.

    Problems. Real problems.

Too short from Linsey Smith and Beth Mooney hammers it for four.

Australia's powerplay, but a handy time for a drinks' break for England to regather and take a deep breath.

Phoebe Litchfield subverts her typical match-up by averaging 40 against off-spin in T20 cricket, which is her highest average against any bowling type.

When it comes to finals, Australia are the team to beat. They don't wilt under the pressure.

It's curious to me that Sophie Ecclestone hasn't bowled in the powerplay.

I can understand that England might want to protect her from the two left-handers but still, under this much pressure, surely bowl your best bowler regardless?

This will be over within 15 overs at this rate. England way too loose here.

Let's see what like of captain NSB is, will she bowl to the game plan or will she adapt when it goes wrong? I'd like to see an adaptable captain if I'm honest, too long have we stuck to a plan and folded.

    Ominous.

Litchfield clubs it down the ground for the first six of the chase.

This has been a formidable start from the Aussies. England are struggling for answers.

  9. Aus 49-1published at 4.2 overs

    Anyone else getting deja vu?

Phoebe Litchfield sweeps Charlie Dean for four.

In the history of Women’s T20 cricket, no bowler has bowled to one particular batter without dismissing her more than Lauren Bell has done to Beth Mooney. 94 balls, 156 runs and counting.

    Target 151

Unfortunately for Lauren Bell, Beth Mooney is keeping her from capitalising on that match-up.

Another expensive over from the seamer, as Beth Mooney belts another four down the ground followed by a cut shot for the same result.

Australia have already surpassed England's powerplay score of 39-2.

Lauren Bell is a great match-up to Litchfield here, who struggles against the ball swinging back into her, with an average just below 20.

  13. Aus 34-1published at 3.2 overs

Mooney was a thorn in England's side throughout the Ashes and she's continuing that trend here.

Too full from Lauren Bell and it's driven beautifully for four.

This is what England didn't do in the powerplay, they didn't find the boundary in every over.

England thought they had Georgia Voll early but the Australian opener overturned it - although it didn't cost too much in the end.

    And breathe!

A no-ball that went for four, a free hit that went for four, a wide, a wicket and then a glorious straight drive from Phoebe Litchfield races to the boundary.

That one had a bit of everything.

    What a wild over!

Lauren Bell fights back as Georgia Voll chops the ball on to her stumps.
