  1. MIDDLESEX BEAT WORCESTERSHIRE BY 141 RUNSpublished at 16:52 BST 15 June

    Darley c Geddes b Roland Jones 1 (Worcs 265 & 216 v Middx 339 & 283-6 dec)

Worcestershire made them work for it but Middlesex get there eventually to win a match they always seemed ahead in.

Toby Roland-Jones gets the final wicket.

Zafar Gohar did much of the damage with six wickets helped by some excellent slip catching from Tom Helm who can be forgiven for having dropped one early in the day.

Briefly Worcestershire looked like they might pull off a great victory with Ben Allison scoring a career best 89.

Gareth Roderick and Henry Cullen also offered resistance but Middlesex have deserved their third win of the season which puts them in the top half of the second division.

Middlesex take 21 points, Worcestershire get 4.

    Next up, our four batters.

Jordan Cox gets the nod after an impressive double century (204 from 201 balls) for Essex against Leicestershire earned him a call-up to the England starting XI for the second Test against New Zealand.

And how could Thomas Rew not be in there? The 18-year-old produced two excellent batting displays to help Somerset beat reigning champions Notts at Trent Bridge, first getting 68 and then a maiden first-class ton to end the second innings 127*.

James Coles made a magnificent career-best 224 not out in Sussex's dominant win over Glamorgan, while Leus du Plooy scored heavily for Middlesex with 85 and 101 against Worcestershire.

Middlesex need just one more wicket to win that match at New Road.

Five around the bat now for Zafar Gohar.

If the Pakistan international spinner can take the final wicket he'll have a career best.

    Tim, Kendal

One of the 4 batters has got to be Jordan Cox for his better than a run a ball 204. James Coles for his Double Century too.

No joy with the new ball so far for Yorkshire.

Hasan Ali tries the trick of turning the bails around. His former Warwickshire team mate Sam Hain turns them back again.

Hain has now faced 200 balls for his 66 and Warwickshire have 24 more overs to survive

    Northants 38-1 - target 191

"It's as bright now as it's been all day," says BBC Radio Northampton's Andrew Radd.

No excuses re the light then if Northants don't win this match.

A maiden over from Will Williams to Calvin Harrison and there are 27 more left in the game.

First change by Gloucestershire as left-armer Matt Taylor replaces Kristian Clarke.

Will Luxton scored 236 runs for Yorkshire against Warwickshire

Right, let's get started with our team of the week then, beginning with the opening batters.

It's hard to look past Yorkshire's Will Luxton, who scored a maiden first-class century with 167 in the first innings against Warwickshire and backed it up with 69 in the second.

Yorkshire currently need five more wickets for victory in that game at Scarborough, but Luxton's performance will be fondly remembered regardless of the outcome.

The second opening spot goes to Jordan Hermann, who scored a vital 106 for Somerset in their first innings to set them on the way to victory at Trent Bridge against defending champions Nottinghamshire.

The South African also scored 40 in the second innings to help set a mammoth target of 474, which Notts fell 306 runs short of.

    Allison b B Green 36 (Essex 156-3 v Leicestershire - Essex need 59 to win)

    Leicestershire have another.

It would take an eyebrow-raising turn of events for them to emerge victorious from this scenario, but all they can do right now is take wickets - and Ben Green has done so.

He takes Charlie Allison's off stump and the young batter, who has performed impressively, departs for 36. This delivery keeps low and leaves Allison with little chance. The third-wicket partnership worth 70 is broken.

Matt Critchley finds the boundary with his first ball faced, from Rehan Ahmed.

  9. Postpublished at 16:37 BST 15 June

    Northants 33-1 - target 191

Almost a second wicket for Will Williams, who produces a delivery which keeps low and hits the toe end of Calvin Harrison's bat before just missing off stump.

Harrison cracks one away through the covers off the back foot for four before hanging onto the strike for the next over with a single.

Couple of comments on nominations for team of the week. Firstly, for a Div 2 player to get the nod it must be an exceptional performance so yes to Potts for his 8 fer but not Raine. My nomination is George Hill for 95 runs and 5 wickets and counting

    Chris, Hants

Thank you, Chris! On that note, let's make a start shortly, shall we?

    Northants 28-1 - target 191

Kristian Clarke is too full and Ricardo Vasconcelos drives majestically for four to the extra cover boundary.

The paceman responds with a good one which takes a leading edge, but fortunately for the Northants opener runs along the ground.

    Huge breakthrough for Middlesex.

Henry Cullen's resistance is broken on his 91st ball.

Gohar gets it to turn and leave him and Tom Helm takes an excellent slip catch.

Essex 139-2 v Leicestershire (Essex need 76 more runs to win)

Essex are motoring again now after a leisurely spell after the tea break.

Paul Walter has just played two delightful shots off the bowling of Josh Davey, both of which reached the boundary rope. He is now on 77 and has played a classy knock thus far.

Charlie Allison (25 not out) has joined in the fun since arriving at the crease.

Leicestershire desperately need wickets and many of them if they are to avoid defeat, because at the moment the balance of play is pointing to one result.

    Northants 21-1 - target 191

Easy runs for Ricardo Vasconcelos as Kristian Clarke strays outside leg stump and he just flips it down to long leg for four.

Four overs gone - another 170 needed for victory.

    Procter b Williams 1 (Northants 12-1 - target 191)

    Would you believe it?

Luke Procter jabs limply at a ball from Will Williams and under-edges into his stumps.

It looked like he was caught in two minds there, whether to play at it or let it go harmlessly by.
