Just a couple of singles from the latest Matt Taylor over as Nathan McSweeney goes down on his haunches to avoid the final delivery.

There are 20 overs left in the game and Northants need another 129.

You do the maths. Time for a T20 mindset?

The umpires signal we're in the final hour of the match which means a minimum of 16 overs remain.

Yorkshire still striving, Warwickshire still battling.

Walter c Hill b Scriven 110 (Essex 205-4 v Leicestershire - Essex require 10 more runs to win)

Paul Walter has been playing without any cares now, but that has cost him his wicket.

He got away with one off Rehan's bowling in the over before when Alex Green put down a dolly, but this time he sends Joey Evison - who bowls his first ball of the innings - up in the air and Lewis Hill takes an excellent catch.

    Essex are on the brink.

    Northants 60-2 - target 191

Five dot balls from the immaculate Will Williams, then Calvin Harrison drives straight for a couple.

The required rate is mounting with 21 overs left for Northants to get these runs.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Ed Barnardpublished at 17:11 BST 15 June

    Warks 263 & 274-6 v Yorks 469 & 246-6 dec

Second half century of the match for Warwickshire captain Ed Barnard.

17 overs to go. Four wickets needed by Yorkshire.

  7. Hain's marathonpublished at 17:10 BST 15 June

    Warks 263 & 266-6 v Yorks 469 & 246-6 dec

Sam Hain's innings lasted over four-and-a-half hours and he faced 218 balls.

It's down to Ed Barnard now for Warwickshire. He's faced nearly a hundred balls and has been joined by Zen Malik.

It's high tide in about five minutes and they they say that helps the bowlers at Scarborough.

As BBC Radio WM commentator Mike Taylor puts it: "The tide is high and they're holding on."

Glad to see my reverse psychology worked with Mr Hain. I’ve made it to the runway and we’re delayed. Lots of refreshing. Come on Yorkshire

  9. 100 runs

100 for Paul Walterpublished at 17:07 BST 15 June

Essex 195-3 v Leicestershire (Essex need 20 more runs to win)

Three figures is up for Paul Walter in 125 balls - and richly deserved.

It has been a highly impressive innings of control, aggression at the right times and an avoidance of taking unnecessary risks.

His clinic of driving on both sides of the field has been something to behold - and he has led Essex to the brink of victory with this ton.

  10. Postpublished at 17:06 BST 15 June

    Northants 56-2 - target 191

This has been a great spell by Will Williams, who has taken 2-19 from seven overs so far.

Matt Taylor isn't thrilled with the front foot landing area following the second delivery of his third over and groundstaff bring out the necessary implement to flatten it down.

Looks like one of those old fashioned floor sweeper devices that isn't a vacuum.

  11. 6 runs

Postpublished at 17:05 BST 15 June

Essex 193-3 v Leicestershire (Essex need 22 more runs to win)

Stand and deliver - or rather, kneel and deliver.

Down on one knee, Matt Critchley has just picked up Rehan Ahmed and sent him into the stands with an authoritative shot. Essex creeping closer.

    Hain c Lyth b Bess 69 (Warks 263 & 266-6 v Yorks 469 & 246-6 dec)

Maybe it needed something sensational to get Yorkshire going again.

Adam Lyth dives forward to grab a bat pad catch just above the ground off Dom Bess.

19 overs to go, four wickets needed by Yorkshire.

Re DBH (16:01) Overton's played 8 matches over a 4 and a half year period, but not once has he been given more than 2 matches in a series. He's never been given a long run to consistently prove what he can do.

    Chris, Dorchester

But what we all really want to know, Chris... is if Craig Overton is good enough to make our team of the week? Right?

  14. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 16:59 BST 15 June

Essex 181-3 v Leicestershire (Essex need 34 more runs to win)

It was not a straightforward chance, but Josh Davey at mid-on - with the ball swirling in the air having been sent up by a false shot by Paul Walter - could not hold onto the catch which would have denied the Essex opener his century.

Rehan Ahmed has been neat and tidy and forced the poor shot by Walter - uncharacteristic in this innings - but the chance passes by.

Walter, in the meantime, has moved onto 95.

  15. Postpublished at 16:58 BST 15 June

    Northants 55-2 - target 191

Nathan McSweeney opens his account by cutting Matt Taylor square for four.

The next one is short and he pulls powerfully, but there is a fielder in position to keep the Australian to a single.

At the start of play today, Jonny Bairstow looked like a shoo-in for the wicketkeeper spot in the team of the week after scoring 68 and 62 for Yorkshire against Warwickshire.

But James Bracey hammered 148 not out for Gloucestershire at Northamptonshire to give the visitors a chance of avoiding defeat.

Considering Bracey also scored 72 in the first innings, he's probably earned his spot.

  17. Postpublished at 16:55 BST 15 June

    Warks 263 & 263-5 & Yorks 469 & 246-6 dec

Warwickshire have matched their first innings score now and batted for about the same length of time.

Sam Hain and Ed Barnard have been together for nearly 2-and-a-half hours.

21 overs to go at Scarborough.

  18. wicket

    Vasconcelos b Taylor 33 (Northants 50-2 - target 191)

History repeats itself at Wantage Road as Ricardo Vasconcelos plays on to Matt Taylor, having pulled the previous ball for four.

Both Northants openers gone in identical fashion and Nathan McSweeney comes to the crease at four.

  19. Postpublished at 16:54 BST 15 June

    Northants 46-1 - target 191

A very welcome boundary for Northants as Richard Vasconcelos leg glances Will Williams to fine leg.

He drives the next out to the cover fielder on the boundary and takes a single to advance to 29 not out.

Calvin Harrison can only defend the last and Northants need another 145 from 25 overs - 5.8 an over.

  20. Postpublished at 16:52 BST 15 June

Essex 173-3 v Leicestershire (Essex need 42 more runs to win)

This has been a clinic in driving by Paul Walter.

The towering Essex opener batter has played so strongly in the V this innings and has just taken four more off the target required when pushing through mid-wicket.

He moves onto 91 and Essex are edging ever closer to victory.
