  1. 100 runs

100 up for Nottspublished at 12:27 BST 15 June

    Notts 101-7 v Somerset - target 473

Fergus O'Neill cashes in on a very wide one from Migael Pretorius to stroke through the covers for four.

That boundary means Notts have passed the 100 mark but why do we get the feeling that won't come as much consolation right now?

  2. Postpublished at 12:27 BST 15 June

    Northants 465 v Glos 268 & 278-7

    Bold.

A little bit of away swing for Liam Guthrie and James Bracey throws the lot at it, with barely any foot movement, as he collects four runs.

It brings up a 50 partnership with Daz Ahmed and Bracey then steers a full-length delivery for another boundary. Much more controlled shot and he moves to 84 not out.

Northants now have the new ball, by the way.

  3. Postpublished at 12:25 BST 15 June

    Leicestershire 187 & 383-8 v Essex 401

It has been a frustrating morning so far for Essex, who have taken the single wicket of Tom Scriven but who are for now being resisted by Lewis Hill (89 not out) and Josh Davey (14 not out).

Leicestershire, by comparison, will be satisfied with the morning session thus far. Their lead is 169 now and the longer they can drag this innings out, the less time Essex will have - and, inevitably, the bigger the target they will require.

  4. Postpublished at 12:24 BST 15 June

    Northants 465 v Glos 268 & 270-7

Harry Conway loses his line and four byes are added to the total despite a despairing leg-side dive by keeper Ricardo Vasconcelos.

  5. Postpublished at 12:23 BST 15 June

    Notts 96-7 v Somerset - target 473

Fergus O'Neill bats out a maiden over from Migael Pretorius.

Just do that for another six hours and Notts will avoid defeat...

Now I'm not saying I'm biased but can the rain delay things again and again at Wantage Road until Glos have 150-ish to defend & 30 overs to bowl at Northants? Thanks.

  7. Postpublished at 12:19 BST 15 June

    Northants 465 v Glos 268 & 266-7

    So close.

Liam Guthrie finds the inside edge of Daz Ahmed's bat and the ball just misses the stumps and brings the Gloucestershire batter a single.

Harry Conway to steam in from the opposite end.

Re Nigel. Derby and Gregory query. Unfortunately for Somerset Jake Ball was the only available option so a bowler averaging 30 in first class cricket replaced one who averages 25 but hopefully Somerset can cope with the downgrade.

    Rob, Warwick

For those who are unaware, Somerset captain and all-rounder Lewis Gregory picked up an injury and was replaced by Jake Ball, who has taken two wickets in this Notts second innings.

  9. Postpublished at 12:16 BST 15 June

    Northants 465 v Glos 268 & 265-7

    That's enough hanging around.

The teams belatedly take the field with Gloucestershire 67 ahead.

Liam Guthrie to bowl and James Bracey clips the day's first run down to fine leg.

    Notts 95-7 v Somerset - target 473

Jack Haynes is batting nicely for Notts amid the chaos that is unfolding around him.

Another lovely cover drive from Haynes, pushing to the boundary for four from Jake Ball.

Haynes moves to 23 from 42 balls.

    Leicestershire 187 & 375-8 v Essex 401

Josh Davey has been watchful since joining Lewis Hill at the crease.

He survives a good-looking lbw shout from Simon Harmer in the first ball of the over and then he ruthlessly lifts the spinner straight back over his own head for a maximum.

    A penny for Harmer's thoughts.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:12 BST 15 June

    Bamber c White b Ali 23 (Warks 263 & 93-4 v Yorks 469 & 246-6 dec)

Great catch from Jack White who holds on, tumbling close to the rope.

He stays inside the boundary to take the pulled shot from night watcher Ethan Bamber.

    Six more needed for Yorkshire.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:09 BST 15 June

    Patterson-White c Overton b Pretorius 4 (Notts 87-7 v Somerset - target 473)

Nottinghamshire are crumbling. Somerset are closing in on a famous win.

Migael Pretorius lures Liam Patterson-White into a drive but it's just got enough away movement to find the outside edge.

It flies to Craig Overton at second slip who makes the catch look far easier than it was.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Allisonpublished at 12:08 BST 15 June

    Worcs 265 & 96-2 v Middx 339 & 283-6

Worcestershire do bat a long way down and night watcher Ben Allison has been excellent.

He did survive a regulation slip chance but he's prospered since, reaching the fifth first class half century of his career.

The home crowd are beginning to believe in something special here.

  15. Postpublished at 12:06 BST 15 June

    Notts 87-6 v Somerset - target 473

Jack Haynes goes hard outside off stump from Alfie Ogborne to smash an aerial cut up and over the infield and away for four.

  16. Postpublished at 12:04 BST 15 June

    Warks 263 & 89-3 v Yorks 469 & 246-6

It's calmed down a bit at Scarborough.

Yorkshire knew they would have to be patient and they remain on course despite resistance from Bamber and Hain.

Shame about the central contracts, depriving the die hard county fans the chance to see Test players in the middle of the season.

    Harry, Rugby

There's a Rew dynasty emerging at Somerset! But, shhhh! Whisper it quietly... we don't want to lose them to an England series!

  18. 6 runs

for Ben Allisonpublished at 12:03 BST 15 June

    Worcs 265 & 94-2 v Middx 339 & 283-6 dec

    This is getting ridiculous.

Ben Allison has pulled two successive short deliveries from Tom Helm for sixes.

  19. Postpublished at 12:00 BST 15 June

    Notts 83-6 v Somerset - target 473

Some light in the dark for Notts as Liam Patterson-White gets off the mark in style by slapping Migael Pretorius for four to the cover boundary.

Short and wide, gets the treatment.

  20. Good news at Wantage Roadpublished at 11:59 BST 15 June

    Northants 465 v Glos 268 & 264-7

The final cover is now being removed and the umpires have decided that play can begin at 12:15 BST.

A frustrating 75-minute delay for Northants, who will be looking to pick up these three remaining Gloucestershire wickets quickly and begin what should be a comfortable fourth-innings chase.

The visitors are 67 in front and, as we mentioned earlier, James Bracey and Daz Ahmed are the not out batsmen.
