It's raining boundaries in Mumbai, Wesley. This match isn't done yet!

    Target 254

An expensive over from Jasprit Bumrah, who is visibly frustrated after having a slower delivery pulled away for four by Jacob Bethell.

12 runs knocked off England's chase.

Applause on the England balcony and a brief thumbs up from Jacob Bethell as he acknowledges his half-century.

He's only taken 19 balls to get there, hitting three fours and five sixes.

Jasprit Bumrah is being brought back into the attack, which would set my nerves jangling as a batter.

Let's focus on something positive shall we? Here's Jacob Bethell smacking back-to-back-to-back boundaries.

India needed an over like that, where things just calmed down a little bit. Great control by Axar Patel.

  7. Eng 119-4published at 10 overs

    Target 254

Axar Patel leaked three boundaries in his first over. His second yields just six runs and two of them are leg byes.

England need 135 runs from 60 balls, with Jacob Bethell on 49 (18) and Will Jacks on 11 (11).

There was a clear, clear opportunity there. But only if the throw was a little bit better!

  9. Eng 116-4published at 9.3 overs

Jacob Bethell should have been run-out on 49 but the throw into Axar Patel is too ferocious. He fumbles his take as Bethell puts in a full length dive.

    Target 254

Jacob Bethell, cruising on 48 (17), is the only England batter to really find any rhythm against India's bowlers.

Will Jacks is getting there, picking up a four off Varun Chakravarthy, but he's also guilty of a Buttler-esque ugly heave and miss.

England are scoring at 12.55 and the required rate is 12.81, so they're on track. The bad news is Jasprit Bumrah will almost certainly bowl three of the remaining 11 overs.

For the time being, here's the spin of Axar Patel.

England are still right in it. As long as they do not lose more wickets, they are going to put immense pressure on this India bowling side.

  13. Eng 103-4published at 8.1 overs

100 up for England with a four through mid-wicket for Jacob Bethell. That's his seventh boundary.

Only 151 more to go... (Runs that is, not boundaries...)

This is hugely entertaining cricket. It is good to get those bursts of runs in overs but you need a player to get that 100 and then others to bat around it.

That is what England are missing.

  16. Eng 99-4published at 8 overs

    Target 254

Will Jacks is the latest England batter to get his innings up and running with a boundary. But will he stick around like Jacob Bethell or is this going to be another cameo?

You have to be smart. You cannot try and hit every ball for six, take the singles when you need too.

    That's on you, Matthew Henry.

Tom Banton tries one shot too many, misses, and the ball clatters into his leg stump. Axar Patel, already with two catches to his name, is delighted.

Here's Will Jacks, who's been England's best player at this tournament.
