    It's interesting that Jones isn't wearing a cap - he won't have done this before when playing in England. One thing it does mean is that the bowler knows he won't get down to sweep the ball.

    Interesting that Scotland batter Michael Jones is wearing a cap while batting. Batters aren't allowed to do this when playing in or for England but Jones comes under the jurisdiction of Scotland Cricket in this tournament.     Earlier this week, England Test captain Ben Stokes suffered a serious facial injury while coaching and said the accident has given him a new perspective on protective wear.

    "I never understood the no helmet when spin is bowling, I used to have throwdowns with no helmet," Stokes wrote in a post on X.

    "After my accident last week and getting seriously lucky with the outcome, I’ll never not wear a helmet, cricket balls do serious damage."
