He makes up for the drop earlier. Catching is the area where Nepal can improve. Fielding is definitely something you can constantly improve. There's no guarantee you will score runs or take wickets but with fielding you can be consistent every day.

    Berrington c Jora b Bhurtel 10 (Sco 145-4)

Scotland's captain tries to launch Kushal Bhurtel down the ground for six, but picks out Sundeep Jora, who takes the catch.

Matthew Cross is the new man - interesting that he's been sent in ahead of Michael Leask.

They've almost interconnected like a puzzle piece, maximising the potential for injury.

Let's hope it's nothing serious because they collided badly. He looks in a lot of pain.

  5. ouch!

    Sco 145-3published at 16.5 overs

A couple of poor deliveries from a Nepal perspective.

Richie Berrington should probably be out, but picks up a flat six as the fielder at long-off misjudges it and comes in too far off the boundary.

The Scotland captain then drags one into the leg side, where Rohit Paudel and Gulshan Jha collide.

Gulshan is down and looks in a fair bit of discomfort.

Before he was dismissed, Brandon McMullen had started to free his arms...

  7. Sco 134-3published at 16 overs

Two wickets in the over have halted Scotland's momentum somewhat.

Richie Berrington and Tom Bruce have four overs to post as big a total as possible.

That was the most casual of catches but equally as superb. It was a great bit of bowling too, to disguise the slower ball.

    McMullen c&b Sompal 25 (Sco 133-3)

    What a catch that is!

Brandon McMullen gets a thick leading edge and Sompal Kami sticks out a right hand in his follow through.

The ball sticks and McMullen has to go.

Some good skills from the bowler there. It was a knuckle ball, and it was delivered with perfection. Jones didn't pick it.

  11. wicket

    Jones b Sompal 71 (Sco 132-2)

Sompal Kami - bowling round the wicket - takes pace off and Michael Jones is through his shot.

The Scotland opener has to go for a fine 71 from 45 balls.

Richie Berrington strides to the middle.

That is big - in fact, it was caught by one of the Scotland players in the dressing room.

Tom Bruce with the safe hands.

And Michael Jones finishes the over in style, launching a mighty six over the sightscreen.

  14. Sco 124-1published at 14.4 overs

Brandon McMullen is through his pull shot too early and Gulshan Jha thinks he's in with a chance of catching it on the boundary.

He doesn't get there though and it skips past him for four.

Nepal need wickets - it's the only thing which will slow Scotland down.

  17. Sco 118-1published at 14 overs

Good running keeps the Scotland score ticking along, but it looked very difficult to get Nandan Yadav's slower balls away in that over as the ball stuck in the pitch.

I can only think he didn't want to tell his mate who had run over to celebrate that he'd dropped it.

You might get away with that in club cricket on a Saturday, but not at the World Cup.

  20. Umpire reviewpublished at 14:25 GMT 17 February

    Sco 110-1

Nepal think they have got Brandon McMullen, but I'm not so sure...

Scotland's number three miscues a drive miles into the night sky and Sundeep Jora claims the catch despite replays showing it spilled out and clearly bounced.

Nepal celebrations are cut short as the umpires rightly intervene.
