Summary

Have your say on England women this summer

  1. Ind 243-6published at 16:34 BST 10 July

Swept for four. Mady Villiers strays down leg and gifts Deepti Sharma four easy runs.

Villiers races through the over - a big help to England's over-rate.

I think Lauren Filer has been unthreatening today.

If Ghosh hadn't gifted her that wicket, I don't think she'd have bowled anymore overs today.

  3. Ind 237-6published at 16:32 BST 10 July

Deepti Sharma slashes at a rising delivery and a thick outside edge sends the ball racing through the gully region for four.

Lauren Filer, not for the first time today, falls to the turf like a jelly-legged boxer on her follow through.

If England can break this partnership, the tail-end will very much be in sight.

  5. Ind 232-6published at 58 overs

Sneh Rana is the new batter in and it's almost a brief stay for the India batter. Mady Villiers offers some flight and beats the bat.

England have kept plugging away today.

Lauren Filer has bowled at an average speed of 72 mph today. This is the quickest on record of any bowler in any single Test match.

There we have it. Richa Ghosh will look back at that one and think what an earth was I doing?

That was a bit of a soft dismissal. Just the breakthrough England needed.

Filer with a hand over her mouth, thinking what an Earth. It was a short ball, Richa Ghosh tried to shovel it, thick outside edge flies to Issy Wong at fine leg. Very good catch by her.

India have given England another one.

    Ghosh c Wong b Filer 13 (Ind 229-6)

    India give away another wicket.

Lauren Filer's line and length is all over the place. A short one with her final delivery is there to be hit but Richa Ghosh paddles to fine leg and Issy Wong takes a decent grab, but one you'd expect her to take.

A grinning Filer has her hand over her mouth. A cheap dismissal.

  11. Ind 228-5published at 56 overs

Poor from Mady Villiers. A short ball is swatted through mid-wicket and a full delivery is smashed into the off side. Back-to-back boundaries for Richa Ghosh.

Villiers has been able to get a lot more turn than Ecclestone today.

  13. Not outpublished at 55.1 overs

    Ind 220-5

Alex Hartley called it. The foot never left the crease. As you were.

She's not dragged her foot out of the crease.

That's a fantastic lunge from Richa Ghosh.

  15. Umpire reviewpublished at 55.1 overs

A shout for a stumping. Is Richa Ghosh's back foot behind the line? The umpire sends it up.

Hold up, we have just seen a replay of that Tammy Beaumont catch at silly point a couple of overs ago. We said no bat was involved. England decided not to review but replays show there was an inside edge. Missed opportunity.

That wasn't a great over from Lauren Filer.

A few of the players will be enjoying the leniency of Test cricket's wide system.

  19. Ind 218-5published at 55 overs

Deepti Sharma wafts at a wide one from Lauren Filer. Filer offers even more width and is fortunate for it not to be called a wide.

There's been a fair few of those by the England bowlers today. Imagine how much slower the over-rate could have been if they were penalised for those wides.

    Anyway, maiden for Filer.

  20. Ind 218-5published at 54 overs

Tammy Beaumont is in on the action again. Deepti Sharma strides forward to Mady Villiers and Beaumont takes a diving catch at silly point. Another unconvincing appeal but no bat involved.
