  1. 6 runs

    Eng 147-5published at 17.4 overs

That's more like it from Will Jacks, pounding Khushal Bhurtel for six. The fielder on the long-on boundary had no idea where the ball was and looked a little startled as it landed a few feet behind him.

In the last two years, England's batters have a strike-rate of 160 facing pace in the last five overs of the innings, compared to just 130 facing spin in the same phase.

I like that there was only one run from that over. Harry Brook has been criticised for the wrong decision with the bat in hand... there, Brook has taken his medicine, recognised that Lamichanne is the most dangerous bowler and has seen him off.

  4. Eng 139-5published at 17 overs

Sandeep Lamichhane finishes with figures of 1-25.

Three overs to go. I'd like to revisit my earlier statement about 180-200 being, I believe I said, very achievable for England...

Harry Brook excels in the last five overs of the innings - across his T20 career he strikes at 199 in overs 16-20 with nearly one in three deliveries going to the boundaries.

  6. Eng 139-5published at 16.4 overs

A misfield allows Will Jacks through for a single. Harry Brook (46 off 27) is finally back on strike.

  7. Eng 138-5published at 16.2 overs

Sandeep Lamichhane twice beats the bat of Will Jacks. Pressure building...

Nepal will have to play out of their skin to get anywhere close given England's bowling depth.

It's as though Nepal have re-aligned since the drinks break.

  10. Eng 138-5published at 16 overs

A very good over from Nepal. Four runs conceded (three singles and a wide) and the wicket of Sam Curran.

Dipendra Singh Airee has 2-23 from three overs.

Sandeep Lamichhane (1-24) is coming on for his final over.

Nepal's spinners have bowled well. Sam Curran was looking to cut the ball hard and gets an under edge.

That just kept a shade low. It's not nice feeling for batter when you drag one back on.

    Curran b Airee 2 (Eng 137-5)

Sam Curran, playing off his back foot, chops on and departs for two. Elation for Nepal!

England are five down. Out walks Will Jacks, his now blonde hair hidden by a helmet.

England have laid the platform here. Harry Brook looks good and Sam Curran is just getting going.

  15. Eng 134-4published at 15 overs

    Brook 45 (25), Curran 1 (6)

Khushal Bhurtel returns to the attack and is duly dispatched for a well-timed four through the covers by England captain Harry Brook.

He then trots through for a single and after facing three dot balls, Sam Curran gets off the mark with a nudged single of his own.

Five overs to go. 180-200 is very achievable for England, although one of those overs will be bowled by Sandeep Lamichhane.

Sam Curran was out of the loop with England but he is the kind of player you need to find a place for in the team. His skill set really suits this format, especially with the power with his batting in the middle order.

  17. Eng 128-4published at 14 overs

Two dots to finish Dipendra Singh Airee's second over. Eight from it, including a six for Harry Brook, and the wicket of Jacob Bethell.

Bethell and Brook had put on 71 (45) for the fourth wicket. An important breakthrough.

With that wicket, the players take drinks. Nepal's head coach is out in the middle delivering instructions.

England are 128-4, with Harry Brook on 40 (23). Sam Curran is the next batter in.

It went so far up in the air. It was more of a slog sweep but it went straight up the chimney. It felt like Harry Brook and Jacob Bethell decided to flick the switch and Nepal have broken the partnership.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13.4 overs

    Bethell c Lokesh b Airee 55 (Eng 128-4)

Lokesh Bam takes the catch on the long-on boundary and Jacob Bethell is out for 55 (35).

He knew he was out as soon as he hit it, hanging his head as the ball left his bat.
