Jordan Cox just looks like a natural player.

  2. 6 runs

    Eng 208-9published at 57.3 overs

Jordan Cox sizes up Kyle Jamieson and whips his arms through the second ball of the over, skying it into the deep. Somewhat underwhelmingly, it plugs in the turf and he has to settle for two.

No bother off the next ball, however, which is dispatched into the second row of the stand behind long-on for six.

There has been a lot of discussion this week on the disruption that the Stokes incident has caused and England’s inexperience. Perhaps a bit more credit needs to be given to NZ. They are an underrated team (again)

    Targe 463

New Zealand start the over with three slips and a gully. Halfway through they trade a slip for a short leg.

Sonny Baker plays three solid forward defences, navigates a short one, and leaves the final two alone.

Personally, I’d like to see a bit more of Cox. His technique looks simple and repeatable.

I've been impressed with what I've seen from Jordan Cox. He just looks comfortable at the crease.

    Target 463

Rachin Ravindra is making himself very popular, hopping back and forth across the advertising boards to sign autographs in between balls.

Jordan Cox plays a few smart drives but can't help but pick out fielders.

New Zealand bring the field in for the final ball and Cox plays up and over the slips for four. 200 up for England. Sonny Baker is on strike to Matt Henry.

If you were Sonny Baker, you wouldn't be giving this away, you'd be trying to bat for as long as you can.

Sonny Baker safely navigates two deliveries from Matt Henry.

England are creeping up towards 200.

Jordan Cox takes a single off the penultimate ball of the over and Sonny Baker just about sees off the final delivery, the ball whizzing past his outside edge.

Cox will be facing a hat-trick ball from Matt Henry, who's looking for his fifth wicket of the morning.

Matt Henry has been superb in the game. New Zealand are so close to wrapping this game up.

Edged and gone! Straight into the hands of Daryl Mitchell in the slips.

    Back-to-back double-wicket maidens for Henry.

    WICKETpublished at 52.5 overs

    Fisher b Henry 0 (Eng 192-8)

Matt Fisher scored a half-century in the first innings but he's not going to repeat that in the second.

He's out for an eight-ball duck, chopping onto his stumps with a big old splat.

Matt Henry has three wickets in the opening 25 minutes of day five.

What a start from New Zealand, stuff they'd dreamed about, getting Joe Root in the first 15 minutes. They have stopped any belief that England would get out of this game.
