  1. Lunch at Southamptonpublished at 13:04 BST 19 April

Hants 265-4 v Somerset (lead by 215 runs)

A terrific first session on day three for Hampshire.

Despite losing three wickets, they have continued to score runs as their lead in this one has comfortably moved past 200 with six wickets still remaining.

They have turned this match on its head against the Division One league-leaders who were dominant on day one.

  2. 50 runs

50 for James Braceypublished at 13:03 BST 19 April

Gloucs 171-3 v Lancs (lead by 67 runs)

50 for Gloucestershire's wicket-keeper batsman James Bracey just before lunch at Bristol.

A terrific, patient knock off 115 balls for his first half-century of the season.

Elsewhere, we have just been told Lancashire's Luke Wells - who suffered that nasty looking shoulder injury in the field earlier - has left the ground and is on his way to hospital.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:00 BST 19 April

    Akhter b Barker (Warks 190 v Essex 186-9)

Keith Barker finds a little extra pace and gets through the defences of Zaman Akhter.

The ball clatters into the stumps and that wicket will push back the 13:10 lunch if the Bears don't take the extra wicket.

A second wicket for Barker with four the difference between the sides.

  4. 'Mayes top class after 100'published at 12:57 BST 19 April

    Hants 238 & 252-4 v Somerset 288

    Charlie Harden
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Mayes is one of those cricketers who I would love to see really get in and cash in.

He's almost a Vince-esque player. Once he's in, Mayes will look top class if he gets past 100 and begins to open up his arms.

It'll be excellent for everyone to watch.

  5. Postpublished at 12:56 BST 19 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 185-8

A lovely shot there as Simon Harmer drives Ed Barnard through midwicket for his fifth boundary and then picks up a single to move to 30.

A very useful knock this. Just five behind now.

Play and miss from Zaman Akhter but he survives.

  6. 250 runs

250 for Hampshirepublished at 12:52 BST 19 April

Hants 250-4 v Somerset (lead by 200 runs)

Hampshire's run rate has barely slowed down following their good work last night as Ben Brown quickly moves onto 33 not out.

That means Hampshire move onto 250 as their lead reaches 200.

  7. 'Ogborne asking right questions'published at 12:52 BST 19 April

    Hants 238 & 248-4 v Somerset 288

    Charlie Harden
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It's a funny angle from left-arm round of the wicket Ogborne.

He's just bringing the stumps into play and he's bowling a good line of length.

He's asking the right questions of the Hampshire pair.

  8. Postpublished at 12:48 BST 19 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 179-8

Zaman Akhter takes a single off Ed Barnard to move to four and brings Simon Harmer on strike.

The Essex spinner pushes into midwicket and scampers through for a quick single, comfortably home before the direct hit uproots a stump.

The Warwickshire lead is down to 11 but they're right back in this game.

  9. 'Snater was looking to score'published at 12:45 BST 19 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 177-8

    Don Topley
    BBC Essex

He started to loosen his arms, he felt he was there to score some runs.

He's just gone across his stumps a little bit looking to play into the leg side.

He's missed it and judged adjacent.

  10. Postpublished at 12:44 BST 19 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 177-8

After a good start, Essex have lost five wickets this morning and in danger of coughing up a first-innings deficit, albeit a small one.

Simon Harmer takes a single off Jordan Thompson's 10th over before Zaman Akhter gets off the mark.

He drives Thompson handsomely but it's cut off just short of the rope and Akhter settles for three off the final ball to keep the strike.

  11. 150 runs

150 for Gloucestershirepublished at 12:43 BST 19 April

Gloucs 152-3 v Lancs (lead by 48 runs)

James Bracey plays late with an open face to guide the ball down to a vacant third man boundary as Gloucestershire move past 150.

It has been their morning session today - no doubt about that.

  12. 6 runs

Postpublished at 12:39 BST 19 April

Hants 241-4 v Somerset (lead by 191 runs)

Archie Vaughan is on for Somerset for a bit off-spin

Ben Brown hits a lovely shot through the covers and Hampshire run three.

With the next ball, Ben Mayes then uses his feet well to fire one over the long-on fielder for six.

Not quite the impact Vaughan was hoping to make in his first over into the attack.

    Hampshire's lead nears 200.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:39 BST 19 April

    Snater lbw b Barnard 8 (Warks 190 v Essex 173-8)

Shane Snater is looking to play his shots after a watchful start, but aims a loose drive at Jordan Thompson and fails to connect, drawing cries of anguish from the Bears slips.

But he goes in the next over!

He steps across his stumps to Ed Barnard but misses and is struck smack bang in front. It would have knocked back the leg stump.

First wicket for Barnard and well deserved.

The deficit is 17 as Zaman Akhter joins Simon Harmer (23).

  14. 'Flat atmosphere in Bristol'published at 12:34 BST 19 April

    Gloucs 136 & 133-3 v Lancs 240

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

It wouldn't have been pleasant for anybody to hear Luke Wells in such pain and distress.

It does feel a little flat which is understandable.

  15. 100 runs

100 for James Salespublished at 12:32 BST 19 April

    Northants 278-6 v Middlesex 341

James Sales makes the most of his escape and becomes the second Northants batter into three figures.

The 23-year-old pushes Naavya Sharma through the covers to bring up his fourth first-class century which has come off 161 balls.

You feel a lot of the hosts' hopes of a good first-innings lead lie on his shoulders.

  16. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 12:31 BST 19 April

    Northants 274-6 v Middlesex 341

Big lifeline for James Sales on 95.

Tom Helm draws a genuine outside edge from the 23-year-old which flies at regulation heaight to seciond slip.

Josh De Caires gets two hands to it but somehow it pops out.

  17. 6 runs

50 for Miles Hammondpublished at 12:30 BST 19 April

Gloucs 133-3 v Lancs (lead by 29 runs)

A fine way to bring up 50 for Miles Hammond.

He sees this all the way and sends Arav Shetty straight back over his head for six over long on.

A proper gutsy knock from the left-hander as Gloucestershire grab a strangle hold on this match.

  18. ouch!

Postpublished at 12:24 BST 19 April

Gloucs 124-3 v Lancs (lead by 20 runs)

Problem here for Lancashire's Luke Wells.

It looks like the opening batsman has picked up an injury in the field trying to retrieve a ball into the leg side - Lancashire's second injury of course after Ajeet Singh Dale pulled his hamstring on the first day.

It looks like Wells' left arm / shoulder is the problem and his arm is in a makeshift sling here - oh dear.

We wish him a speedy recovery as he is applauded off the field and Lancs coach Steven Croft helps him off along with the physio.

Wells is visibly in a lot of pain. We won't be expecting to see him again in this match and the Red Rose will have to make another replacement.

  19. 'Out of the blue wicket'published at 12:23 BST 19 April

    Hants 238 & 227-4 v Somerset 288

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Good piece of bowling from Alfie Ogborne.

That was another wicket out of the blue and he's falling on double nelson.

He might've just taken the inside edge but it was a good piece of bowling.

  20. Postpublished at 12:19 BST 19 April

    Warks 190 v Essex 165-7

Simon Harmer drops his hands and leaves a Jordan Thompson bouncer well alone.

Sensible from the South African who can bat a bit when required and has 20.

Essex move within 25 of the Bears total.
