  1. 6 runs

    Ind 41-2published at 3.4 overs

Ishan Kishan latches onto a short ball from Josh Tongue and helps it behind square for six.

It had been a good over from the England quick up to that point.

Bye bye wonderkid! Great pace bowling Jofra Archer! Feels like a big wicket.

    Mike, Winchester

Sorry, but the kid needs to be a bit more game savvy and not try to hit sixes off every ball.

    Phil, Harpenden

Feels like England are maybe 20 runs short here. The quick wickets will make it interesting. Could do with having them 5 down by the time they get to 100.

    Tom, Bristol

  3. Ind 33-2published at 3 overs

Shreyas Iyer gets off the mark with a nice pick-up off his pads.

Still, a successful over for England.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will be annoyed but I actually think it's part of Jofra Archer's gameplan to bowl to him. It was into his body and short. Sooryavanshi is a little bit slow on it and that's bragging rights for Archer.

  5. Postpublished at 19:42 BST 7 July

    I reckon that's a bit harsh, Henry.

It's a well-directed bouncer bowled at high pace.

It's not a ball Jofra Archer will look back on and think 'that's one of the best balls I've bowled' but it gets the wicket of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

    Sooryavanshi c Buttler b Archer 13 (Ind 29-2)

    Gone!

Jofra Archer does Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for pace and there's a glove through to Jos Buttler.

Jofra Archer against Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is a game within a game. They both play for the same IPL franchise and know each other well.

  9. Ind 28-1published at 2.2 overs

Ishan Kishan flashes a thick outside edge away for four.

    Who would be a bowler?

Josh Tongue takes his first T20 international wicket - the last Englishman to take a debut wicket in this format was Matt Potts last year, in his sole T20I against West Indies in Durham.

A really good length from Josh Tongue which forced Abhishek Sharma to play the cross-batted shot.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.5 overs

    Sharma c Salt b Tongue 10 (Ind 23-1)

Josh Tongue keeps his head amid the carnage.

Abhishek Sharma tries to go again, but slices it to Phil Salt, who takes a simple catch.

    A big breakthrough for England.

  13. 6 runs

    Ind 22-0published at 1.3 overs

A big full-bunger from Josh Tongue flies over backward point for six more.

And again! Vaibhav Sooryanvanshi whips his second six over midwicket. Doesn't ever try to keep it down, this lad.

  14. 6 runs

    Ind 9-0published at 1 overs

Two beauties from Jofra Archer whizz past Abhishek Sharma's outside edge before a single gets Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on strike.

A vicious bouncer whistles past the teenager's shoulder, but the next delivery is upper cut for six over third.

    Remarkable.

Probably not enough. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi at boundary-friendly Trent Bridge could be devastating

    Roberto, Hunstanton

I might be wrong, but most of these players on the Indian team aren't worried about chasing 250 and on a small ground this looks a long way light. India to chase it down in 18.

    James, Stockport

England have been an OK team and doing well in the face of an unnecessarily harsh media

    Peter, Nottingham

  16. Ind 2-0published at 0.1 overs

A flick over the infield from Abhishek Sharma gets the chase up and running.

It's not timed, but they run an easy two.

  17. Ind 0-0published at 19:26 BST 7 July

Jofra Archer has the new ball for England.

Abhishek Sharma is on strike for India.

    Let's play...

Will Jacks, despite appearing to tweak something when he was run out, is out there for England.

    Good to see.

However, Sam Curran is not. Jordan Cox is on as a fielding sub.

    Thanks, Timothy.

I've had my cuppa already, so I'm fully charged for India's chase.

They need 202 to level the series.

Phew, breathless stuff. I need a reviving cuppa.

Here's George O'Neill to talk you through the chase.

All eyes on a certain Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
