    Trent Bridge, despite for a time being among the most high-scoring venues in world cricket, has also been quite a lot lower scoring in T20s over the last few years, with a run rate of 8.48rpo since the start of 2024 - that’s the fourth-lowest scoring among the 18 main UK venues.

    This line-up was expected from game one, so it's back to normal for India.

    Three spinners was probably one too many.

    The year was a breakout year for Prince Yadav in the IPL. He still plays tennis ball cricket.

    England captain Harry Brook: "We were a little bit indecisive but would probably have had a bat. It was an excellent performance at Old Trafford from everyone involved. We fielded outstanding and bowled really well, especially through the middle phase which is an area we wanted to improve.

    "Then Jacob Bethell knocked off the runs which was awesome. With this team it never feels like you are out of the game. We have a great balance in the side and stick in games for a long period of time.

    "Every game is a big game against India. We are happy to be here and looking forward to another challenge against a strong side. Hopefully we go can go 2-0."
