Tactically wrong from New Zealand in this over. Round the wicket to Shivam Dube, everything is in his swinging arc. Over the wicket is much harder to hit.

  2. Ind 255-5published at 20 overs

Shivam Dube slaps the final ball of the innings from Jimmy Neesham through the covers for four. India take 24 off the final over.

Someone has flicked a switch, the lights are back on at Ahmedabad!

  4. 6 runs

    Ind 247-5published at 19.3 overs

The left-handed Shivam Dube with back-to-back sixes off Jimmy Neesham.

Plenty of bottom hand in the first over deep mid-wicket before he wallops the Kiwi seamer over the boundary at extra cover.

Salt in the wound for Santner's boys.

  5. dropped catch

Dube dropped on twopublished at 19.1 overs

Shivam Dube goes downtown to Jimmy Neesham and Mitchell Santer spills a very difficult diving catch. Worse still the Kiwi skipper palms it over the boundary attempting to prevent it dribbling over.

  6. Ind 231-5published at 19 overs

Final six balls of the innings from India.

Can New Zealand keep Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube from boosting this already imposing total?

    Mitchell Santner yesterday...

"Trying to restrict India to 220 instead of 250 it might give you a good chance..."

These short balls have really worked for New Zealand in these latter stages. Slower balls and pace off deliveries have all been dispatched, being less predictable with their length has worked for them.

  9. wicket

    Pandya c Santner b Henry 18 (Ind 226-5)

Hardik Pandya with a bit of a wild slap at delivery from Matt Henry and it goes straight up the chimney and Mitchell Santner pitter patters in to pouch the catch.

The full tosses that worked for Jimmy Neesham not quite working out for Matt Henry.

Hardik Pandya using the length offered by Henry to muscle it over the leg side.

  11. 6 runs

    Ind 226-4published at 18.1 overs

Hardik Pandya is brought out some spray for his battle handle.

A couple of blasts and he seems happy.

It does the job as he pummels Matt Henry over mid-wicket for six.

  12. Ind 220-4published at 18 overs

Jimmy Neesham with two wickets at the end of his previous over is denied a hat-trick as Hardik Pandya punches to mid-off.

Later in the over Hardik pulls a dragged down short ball from Neesham for four through mid-wicket.

This was the fourth time in this T20 World Cup where we have seen three wickets in an over - and the third time it has happened to India.

  15. Ind 211-4published at 17 overs

Great work on the boundary by Matt Henry.

Tilak Varma top edges a hook off Jacob Duffy and Henry dashes down to fine leg to scoop it back with a diving effort.

Suryakumar Yadav chose not to leave it alone and offered the catch. It was a good catch from Ravindra, a loopy shot with no timing.

New Zealand are giving themselves a sniff - if they restrict India to 240 and start like they did against South Africa...

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16 overs

    Yadav c Ravindra b Neesham 0 (Ind 204-4)

Jimmy Neesham has three in the over!

It's short from the Kiwi seamer and it's a premeditated shot from Suryakumar Yadav, who was thinking about a slog sweep and had to readjust.

It floats high down to deep square leg where Rachin Ravindra dashes round to pouch the catch.

Kishan walks off shaking his head, he can't believe a fielder was there but if he'd looked he'd have seen he was well in from the rope.

That ball was more yorker length. Neesham not quite nailing his skills, but he's getting wickets.

Two in the over! What a peculiar over this has been - it's another full toss.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.5 overs

    Kishan c Chapman b Neesham 54 (Ind 204-3)

Jimmy Neesham follows up the wicket of Sanju Samson with a couple of dots then bags himself another wicket!

It's another full toss - just short of yorker length - and Ishan Kishan cannot quite the distance and Mark Chapman takes the catch down at long-on.
