  1. Lunch at The Ovalpublished at 13:03 BST 26 April

    Surrey 271-4 v Essex 409

It looks as though Dan Lawrence got the message about Surrey's sluggish run-rate - just before the interval he came down the track to whip Shane Snater for four and then six two balls later.

Lawrence goes to lunch with 80 against his name, while Ben Foakes is up and running now with four and Surrey trail by 138 runs.

Essex have bowled well this morning - as they also did on the second afternoon and evening - but have only the wicket of centurion Dom Sibley to show for their efforts.

  2. 50 partnership for the Notts openerspublished at 12:57 BST 26 April

    Notts 279 & 52-0 (f/o) v Warks 459

A beautiful cover drive for four from Haseeb Hameed off Michael Booth brings up the 50 and also the 50 partnership for Hameed and Ben Slater.

The Notts pair have batted nicely, being watchful yet also punishing any poor deliveries.

The Bears seamers have bowled fairly well, but have failed to truly threaten the Notts batters.

  3. Postpublished at 12:53 BST 26 April

    Surrey 257-4 v Essex 409

It's testament to the consistency of Essex's bowlers that the home side really haven't been able to gain much momentum in this innings.

The Surrey run-rate is little more than two and a half per over and, at that rate, it'll take them until around stumps tonight to get their noses in front.

Ben Foakes has faced nine balls, but isn't yet off the mark, while Dan Lawrence is well set on 70.

  4. 300 up for Leicestershirepublished at 12:49 BST 26 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leicestershire 302-2

Leicestershire duo Ian Holland (66*) and Lewis Hill (31*) now have a partnership worth 62 as their side pass 300 runs in 76 overs.

Glamorgan still have only the one wicket today - that of nightwatchman Josh Davey who was stumped charging down the pitch.

  5. 50 runs

for Joe Rootpublished at 12:44 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 286-4 v Sussex 502

The England star shows his class as he reaches a half-century in 59 balls, with seven fours.

He had that one scare a short time ago but other than that it's been as assured as you'd expect.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:41 BST 26 April

    Sibley c Pepper b Cook 101 (Surrey 255-4 v Essex 409)

Finally, some reward for Sam Cook!

The Essex seamer gets one to lift off the surface and Dom Sibley, having just brought up his century, can only steer it through into the gloves of the waiting Michael Pepper.

Ben Foakes strides to the middle with Surrey trailing by 154.

  7. Excellent session for Durhampublished at 12:39 BST 26 April

    Durham 295 v Lancs 370 & 41-4

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

The one thing Durham needed to do today was keep it tight with the ball and they have done just that. It's a complete contrast to how they started this game on Friday.

But this morning they have put real pressure on the Lancashire batsmen.

We have had an hour and 30 minutes of play today and they have only managed to put 35 runs on the board, for the loss of four wickets.

James Minto got the ball rolling when he had George Balderson caught behind for one. Ben Raine then came into the attack to try and remove Keaton Jennings and the plan worked a treat.

With the keepenr standing up to the stumps and Jennings unable to leave his crease, he edged the first ball of Raine's second over to the slips. Kasey Aldridge then pulled off a stunning, low, one-handed catch to his left to dismiss him for four.

Since then, Matty Potts has had the dangerous Marcus Harris caught behind for 12, before bowling Josh Bohannon for eight when the batsman offered no shot.

The lights are on and it's overcast in CLS. These are good bowling conditions. The pitch seems a bit two-paced today as well. It's very much game on!

  8. Postpublished at 12:39 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 279-4 v Sussex 502

Ooh Joe Root gets away with one there!

His shot from Ollie Robinson's delivery just goes over the fingertips of the slip cordon - that was very close indeed!

He ends up getting a streaky four for it and follows it up with another boundary to move to 48.

  9. 'Classic opener's innings from Sibley'published at 12:38 BST 26 April

    Surrey 253-3 v Essex 409

    Nick Gledhill
    BBC Essex

Sibley remained calm when there were early problems for Surrey.

A classic opener's innings from him, they'll be quite happy for him to bat through the day now.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:37 BST 26 April

    Crawley c Roderick b Swanepoel 31 (Worcs 447 v Kent 196 & 67-4)

Another start for Zak Crawley where he can't go on.

The England opener drives loosely at one outside off stump from Beyers Swanepoel, gets an inside edge, and Gareth Roderick takes a good catch behind.

It's Crawley's highest score in six innings this season, but he'll be hugely disappointed.

  11. 100 runs

100 for Dom Sibleypublished at 12:36 BST 26 April

    Surrey 253-3 v Essex 409

Six and a half hours at the crease, 281 balls - and finally Dom Sibley scrambles a single behind square off Shane Snater to bring up his first century of the summer.

It's the 27th first-class hundred of the Surrey opener's career and the first since he scored 103 not out against former team Warwickshire on this ground last September.

  12. Notts steadying the shippublished at 12:35 BST 26 April

    Notts 279 & 31/0 (f/o) v Warks 459

There isn't much movement with the new ball for the Bears, and the Notts openers have batted nicely as their partnership builds slowly but surely.

Ben Slater has just played a glorious shot for four off a wide delivery from Ethan Bamber, driving off a length through the covers.

There is a long way to go yet, but could Warwickshire regret enforcing the follow on?

  13. Postpublished at 12:30 BST 26 April

    Surrey 252-3 v Essex 409

Encouraging signs for the Essex seamers, with Sam Cook and Shane Snater both beating the bat in the last few overs.

Cook had Dom Sibley - who's on the tightrope of 99 at the moment - fishing outside off stump and then jagged the next one back to hit him on the pads, albeit not in line to tempt the umpire to raise his finger.

Meanwhile, Surrey have their first batting bonus point in the can, courtesy of Cook's misfield on the boundary to hand four runs to Dan Lawrence.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:30 BST 26 April

    Bairstow b Coles 6 (Yorkshire 267-4 v Sussex 502)

Middle stump out of the ground - from the spin of James Coles!

Jonny Bairstow tries to block but is cleaned bowled through the gate.

He seemed the shrug afterwards as if to say 'fair enough' to that ball.

What a morning this is turning into for Sussex.

They have the new ball now too.

  15. get involved

Get Involvedpublished at 12:24 BST 26 April

    Worcs 447 v Kent 196 & 58-3 (Crawley 23*)

Crawley looks set for his only score of the summer to reclaim his England spot for the next 12 months.

  16. Foxes batters in control as Holland reaches 50published at 12:21 BST 26 April

    Glamorgan 440 v Leicestershire 276-2

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

The Foxes batters have looked in control again for the early stages in Cardiff with captain Ian Holland completing his unshowy 50 off 115 balls with four fours and little difficulty.

Glamorgan’s only early success was disposing of night-watchman Josh Davey, stumped charging at Mason Crane for 15, once he considered his job was done.

Lewis Hill joined Holland in the middle rather than a return for Jake Weatherald, possibly the only Australian ever to have suffered cramp in south Wales in April, with the visitors’ camp describing the move as ‘precautionary’.

It seems Leicestershire are set for a decent haul of bonus points despite a defensive field, and potentially a chance to put Glamorgan under pressure.

  17. Potts sparks Lancashire collapsepublished at 12:21 BST 26 April

    Durham 295 v Lancashire 370 & 33-4

England's Matthew Potts has just picked up two wickets in an over for Durham to leave Lancashire wobbling on 33-4.

Potts got first-innings centurion Marcus Harris caught behind before bowling Josh Bohannon three balls later.

    Lancashire's lead is just 108.

  18. Root & Bairstow batting togetherpublished at 12:18 BST 26 April

    Yorkshire 264-3 v Sussex 502

A treat for supporters at Headingley with Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow batting together.

Not a bad combination for Yorkshire.

Bairstow straight into the action with a four.

  19. Postpublished at 12:17 BST 26 April

    Surrey 243-3 v Essex 409

Dom Sibley glides Sam Cook nicely off his pads to the leg-side boundary to move within four of his first hundred of the season.

But a welcome sight for Cook later in the over, with signs of movement as he gets a ball to fizz away from Sibley and leave the batter nonplussed while Michael Pepper dives to take it in front of slip.

  20. Division Two latestpublished at 12:12 BST 26 April

Kent are in all sorts of bother at New Road. Worcestershire have already picked up three second-innings wickets to leave them 38-3 and still 213 runs behind. Zak Crawley is still there though.

Lancashire have lost both openers, George Balderson and Keaton Jennings, cheaply in their second innings. The Red Rose county are 28-2 and lead Durham by 103 runs.

Derbyshire are 177-5 against Gloucestershire and facing a big first-innings deficit. They trail by 321.
