  1. NZ 92-4published at 10 overs

After a chaotic first nine overs, this one is a little quieter.

Lungi Ngidi returns and he goes for six runs, also appealing for an lbw shout against Daryl Mitchell that none of his team-mates are interested in.

  3. dropped catch

Chapman dropped on 14published at 9 overs

    NZ 86-4

    Almost a spectacular catch!

Mark Chapman fires Keshav Maharaj's fifth delivery high into the air, out towards the mid-wicket fence.

Dewald Brevis runs round and leaps like a salmon, getting his hands on the ball but is unable either to hold on or stop it dribbling onto the rope.

He started a little in from the rope, perhaps if he'd been right out on the boundary he might have stood a better chance, although he slid into the sponge in any case so would likely have found himself in trouble there.

  4. NZ 77-4published at 8 overs

Corbin Bosch, back in the side today, starts well with three dot balls to Daryl Mitchell.

The New Zealand batter gets his first boundary off the fourth ball of the over, striking down the ground.

He follows-up with two out to mid-wicket.

  5. 6 runs

    NZ 71-4published at 7 overs

    Mark Chapman strikes back!

Having been brought on strike by a Daryl Mitchell single, he heaves Keshav Maharaj's last delivery over long-on for his first six.

You don't normally see Keshav Maharaj with big celebrations but he was really pleased with that. It was really well bowled.

What he does beautifully in T20 cricket is he doesn't look to turn the ball loads but he's so clever with his changes of pace.

After a few tricky overs, South Africa are right back in the game.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.4 overs

    Phillips b Maharaj 1 (NZ 64-4)

The spinner gets in on the action!

Glenn Phillips tries a big swing to Keshav Maharaj's delivery and inside edges onto his leg stump.

The slow-bowler roars in delight - his side are well on top now.

Prior to the wicket, Mark Chapman had picked up four with a hard flat sweep sent square.

  8. NZ 58-3published at 6 overs

New batter Mark Chapman knocks the last delivery of the over into the covers - no run there.

That's the end of the powerplay - Marco Jansen has figures of 3-23 from two overs.

It was really full from Marco Jansen, a half volley really. Finn Allen would have backed himself every time to get it over mid-off.

He was looking for the elevation but he's furious with himself. It was an easy catch for the skipper.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.5 overs

    Allen c Markram b Jansen 31 (NZ 58-3)

Two in the over for Marco Jansen!

Just a couple of deliveries left in the powerplay and Finn Allen cracks the ball straight to Aiden Markram at mid-off.

What a catch from David Miller! Marco Jansen kept the ball up there, not phased by that paddle scoop in the previous delivery.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.2 overs

    Ravindra c Miller b Jansen 13 (NZ 57-2)

    Another six and out!

Rachin Ravindra moves to the off side and scoops Marco Jansen's first delivery over fine leg, but is caught off the next ball.

He tries to drive the lanky South Africa seamer and sees his shot fly instead towards David Miller at short third.

The veteran throws himself forward for a sharp catch.

  13. NZ 51-1published at 5 overs

A bit quieter as Kagiso Rabada reigns in the New Zealand batters.

The first four balls of his over go for just two runs, before Rachin Ravindra cracks the next delivery through cover for four.

    Up comes New Zealand's fifty.

  14. 6 runs

    NZ 44-1published at 4 overs

Rachin Ravindra is the new batter and immediately takes a single to mid-on.

Finn Allen then edges past the keeper for four, before hooking Marco Jansen's fifth delivery high out towards long leg.

Tristan Stubbs is right on the rope and has plenty of time to place himself right under the line of the ball. He attempts a leap to try and take the catch, but there's just too much air on the shot - that's six.

A dot ball ends a big over - 17 runs and one wicket.

Both of these batters had been targeting down the ground.

A great timely wicket for South Africa, New Zealand were just breaking away so South Africa are back in the driving seat.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.2 overs

    Seifert c de Kock b Jansen 13 (NZ 33-1)

    And now six and out!

Tim Seifert thumps Marco Jansen's first delivery off the advertising boards, but top-edges the next delivery trying to back-off and upper cut.

Instead he's cramped for room and knicks to Quinton de Kock behind the stumps.

    Dawid Malan

The momentum has changed for New Zealand here. Tim Seifert and Finn Allen who want to get after the bowling, they've been able to break the shackles. All pressure on South Africa.

  18. 6 runs

    NZ 27-0published at 3 overs

Six and four to end the over!

Finn Allen cracks Lungi Ngidi into the stands over long-on then whips the following delivery square for another boundary.

18 off the over, all of them Allen's.

  19. Umpire reviewpublished at 2.3 overs

Lungi Ngidi offers width outside with his first two deliveries and Finn Allen tucks in for consecutive boundaries, hacking the first ball through backward point and then confidently smacking a short follow-up a little further square.

But will Allen depart from the following delivery?

He drives back down the ground and there's the question of whether this flicked Ngidi's boot on the way through to hitting the stumps.

The umpires unleash their technology and there's no sign of any knick - Allen survives.

  20. NZ 9-0published at 2 overs

Kagiso Rabada takes the ball for the second over.

Tim Seifert hacks his second delivery out to backward square for a single, before Finn Allen fails to score off the next three deliveries.

He sends the final ball of the over to mid-on for a swift single, with South Africa's seamers restricting the opposition openers for now.
