  1. NZ 171-7published at 19.5 overs

Matt Henry immediately gets off strike with a single to long-on.

Kagiso Rabada runs round on the rope, but the ball beats his dive and goes for four.

  2. NZ 166-7published at 19.3 overs

Corbin Bosch to bowl the last.

Jimmy Neesham is on strike and he turns down a single off the first ball of the over.

Bosch then fires in a yorker that Neesham can't get away.

His next delivery to the left-hander is very wide and Neesham drives it straight to cover and can only take a single.

  3. NZ 165-7published at 19 overs

Marco Jansen, who eats a pizza on the bus before every match according to Dawid Malan, comes on for his last over.

His first four balls go for five runs, before Jimmy Neesham clips over his shoulder for four.

A softly pulled single ends the over - Jansen closes with figures of 4-40.

  4. NZ 155-7published at 18 overs

Jimmy Neesham drops the ball into the off side and takes a single off Kagiso Rabada, bringing up his side's 150.

Matt Henry edges the following delivery for four, but can't score off the next two balls then takes a single to retain the strike - not ideal.

Rabada is done with figures of 0-27.

  5. NZ 147-7published at 17 overs

Matt Henry comes in at nine - he has an average of 5.28 in T20 internationals.

    Two singles end the over.

Mitch Santner hasn't been able to get going. It's really good field placement from South Africa and another good bit of fielding, they've been disciplined.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.4 overs

    Santner c Rickelton b Bosch 4 (NZ 145-7)

    New Zealand wickets are tumbling!

Mitchell Santner didn't look comfortable and now departs for four off 10 balls.

The left-hander threw his hands at Corbin Bosch's delivery and sends the ball spiralling out to deep backward point, where Ryan Rickelton takes a catch diving forward having come in off the rope.

Santner looks skyward in frustration - his side have lost three wickets for seven runs.

  8. NZ 143-6published at 16 overs

A couple of singles to end the over.

New Zealand have only scored five runs off the last two overs.

Lungi Ngidi is finished with figures of 1-34.

It was slightly too full so Daryl Mitchell couldn't get the elevation he wanted so it just spooned up. A big yell from Mitchell after the catch was taken. South Africa keep picking up wickets at crucial times and it's also crucial wickets.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.3 overs

    Mitchell c Stubbs b Ngidi 32 (NZ 141-6)

There goes the other set batter!

Daryl Mitchell goes down the ground again and sends Lungi Ngidi's straight to Tristan Stubbs at long-on, who takes the catch fingers up in a crouch.

Jimmy Neesham comes out to join Mitchell Santner, with little time to rebuild.

  11. NZ 140-5published at 15 overs

    Great work from Keshav Maharaj.

Daryl Mitchell takes a single to long-on off his first delivery, bringing new batter Mitchell Santner on strike.

The all-rounder can't score off his first three balls, and only gets a single off his fourth - sending the ball to mid-wicket.

Two runs off the over as we enter crunch time in the innings.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14 overs

    Chapman c Rickelton b Jansen 48 (NZ 138-5)

Marco Jansen has his fourth wicket!

The last ball of his over is a slower one and it befuddles Mark Chapman, who offers a leading edge for Ryan Rickelton to take at backward point.

The South African fielder indicates that, despite it looping kindly to him, that it was a difficult chance as he was staring into the lights.

Chapman misses out on a half-century, while a partnership of 74 comes to an end.

It's been brilliant to watch. There's been no slogging, no over hitting. Mark Chapman has used the pace of the ball, he manipulated the ball at times. Chapman is just showing that you don't need to have lots of slogs to be a good T20 player.

  14. South Africa reviewpublished at 13.3 overs

    NZ 136-4

Hello, could this be the partnership breaker?

Marco Jansen, taker of three wickets today already, returns and fires in a yorker to Mark Chapman.

The New Zealand batter blocks and tries to run for a quick single - he's sent back by Daryl Mitchell but would have been well short of his ground had the throw from the fielder been a direct hit.

South Africa then ask for a review on an lbw, but the replays show Chapman edged hard into his pad.

  15. NZ 131-4published at 13 overs

Back comes strike bowler Kagiso Rabada, trying to break this partnership - the single between the two sixes in the last over brought up a fifty partnership.

No wickets here though - indeed, Mark Chapman hits Rabada for consecutive fours, firing a short ball through backward square and then hitting down the ground.

I think it is asking a lot of Mark Chapman to rebuild the Kiwi innings and still be at his best to do Match of the Day later.

    NZ 120-4published at 12 overs

    And another one!

Same area too, but it's Mark Chapman this time - he dances down the pitch and dispatches Aiden Markram over long-on.

A single to point ends the over - New Zealand are going at exactly 10 an over.

  18. 6 runs

    NZ 113-4published at 11.3 overs

    Walloped!

Aiden Markram decides he's going to have a bowl and will New Zealand make him regret his decision?

Daryl Mitchell sends his third delivery flying over the long-on boundary for six.

Marco Jansen changed the game with those three wickets. New Zealand were going pretty quickly, in particular Finn Allen.

It looks like a good batting track so I think South Africa will be the happier of the two having New Zealand four down.

  20. NZ 106-4published at 11 overs

Mark Chapman fires Corbin Bosch through backward point for four, before Daryl Mitchell gets two in a similar area to bring up New Zealand's hundred off 64 balls.

Mitchell then strikes down the ground, with Aiden Markram giving chase.

The South African skipper's slide over the boundary pulls the rope away from its set position, but it springs back and over the ball for another four.
