British UFC fighter Arnold Allen is one of the many staying up to watch tonight's card.

Posting on X, Allen, ranked number six in the UFC featherweight division said: "AJ must be feeling some serious pressure right now, surely this is scarier than any of his big fights."

    Tongue in cheek?

Boxing promoters love coming up with a catchy tagline for a card and Most Valuable Promotions have gone with 'Judgment Day' - let's not get sidetracked by the American spelling.

Now is your time to shine.

What would you have labelled tonight's card?

If you follow Jake Paul on social media - and it seems like plenty of people do - you may have noticed he was sporting a black eye a week or so ago.

Aside from facing Tommy Fury, Paul has carefully managed his career by facing former mixed martial artists and retired boxers, but Anthony Joshua - a two-time world champion with ambition to become a champion again - presents a very different challenge.

With that in mind, Paul has been sparring with the likes of former cruiserweight world champion Lawrence Okolie and heavyweights Jared Anderson, Frank Sanchez and Cassius Chaney.

"It's been tough; it has been a lot of learning. I am sore everywhere," Paul said.

"I'm getting used to taking the big punches to the arms, to the face, to the body. I'm having to fight in a different way than I've had to fight before."

  7. Has Paul earned respect?published at 03:14 GMT 20 December 2025

Jake Paul has been saying for years he wants to fight elite names - even talking about Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez at one point. Most people didn’t take him seriously, especially after facing a 58-year-old Mike Tyson.

But credit where it’s due - taking on Anthony Joshua is a huge leap. The boxing world respects the courage. Still, let’s not forget Paul is earning a massive purse and has built his brand on shock value. If he lasts a couple of rounds, he’ll spin it. If he lands a clean jab, he’ll spin that too.

  8. 'Would I ever allow AJ to have a script with Jake?'published at 03:13 GMT 20 December 2025

    Paul v Joshua

    Eddie Hearn
    Matchroom promoter

So many people have come up to me asking if it's scripted. Firstly, we'd be investigated by the FBI if it was. It would be illegal. This is a professional contest and a sanctioned bout where people are betting on it.

And do you think I would ever allow AJ to have a script with Jake? A script where we might lose or even hold him up and look bad? No way.

We are not giving this guy an edge or a chance to say "told you I was better than AJ" or "I won rounds". This would be catastrophic for AJ and we're not going to risk that.

  9. 'Unthinkable' that Paul can win - Lewispublished at 03:10 GMT 20 December 2025

    Paul v Joshua

There's no doubting who former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has winning tonight's main event.

Huge jeers for Jake Paul as he appeared on the big screen. He was sat in his dressing room looked incredibly nervous - at odds to his demeanour all week. Maybe the reality of this has finally hit home.

  14. Who is on Jake Paul's team?published at 03:04 GMT 20 December 2025

Jake Paul has made no secret of his grand ambition to become a world champion and he's employed a top trainer to ensure he is on the right track.

After tasting defeat for the first - and only time - against Tommy Fury in 2023, Paul switched up his coaching team and enlisted the help of Theo Chambers.

Chambers is a product of the legendary Kronk Gym in Detroit, which was once run by the "godfather of boxing" Emanuel ‘Manny’ Steward.

There is also conditioning coach Larry Wade, who has worked with world champions such as Shawn Porter and Badou Jack, oversees his physical work and technical sessions alongside former world title challenger J'Leon Love.

Everyone works out of a £3m converted warehouse in Puerto Rico, a full-time base with recovery suites, a strength and conditioning centre and high-end equipment used by elite professionals.

The Kaseya Center is filling up nicely now, though there are still pockets of empty seats around the arena. I suspect a fair few people are still lingering on the concourse - probably grabbing one last overpriced beer at around $20 a pop before heading to their seats.

  17. Who is Anthony Joshua's new team?published at 03:00 GMT 20 December 2025

    Paul v Joshua

After successive losses against Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua brought in trainer Ben Davison in 2023 and it proved a fruitful partnership.

He won four in a row to earn a shot at IBF champion Daniel Dubois, but the pair ran out of road against as Joshua suffered a heavyweight knockout loss in September 2024.

Joshua, who hasn't fought since that defeat, has changed it up once again by linking up with Usyk's team in Spain.

Usyk's conditioning coach Jakub Chycki and boxing coach Iegor Golub have been putting the Briton through his paces.

If you can't beat them, join them. Eh?

  18. Laughs before the leatherpublished at 02:59 GMT 20 December 2025

    Paul v Joshua

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport at Kaseya Center, Miami

Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua came together on Sunday for a promo day that raised a few eyebrows. Plenty of jokes, plenty of smiles - they even raced speedboats across Miami’s waterways.

On occasions, it's been very jovial, not what you’d expect from two heavyweights about to fight.

That’s only fuelled questions about the legitimacy of the bout. Some still - without any evidence - claim Paul’s fights are scripted, but as Eddie Hearn wrote in his BBC Sport column, this is a professional contest and any fix would be illegal.

  19. 'Petrified' Paul is 'deluded' - Hearnpublished at 02:58 GMT 20 December 2025

    Paul v Joshua

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn believes Jake Paul will be "petrified" when it really dawns on him that he's going to step into a ring with Anthony Joshua.
