The Eagles beat up the 49ers in the NFC Championship game a few years ago, and these two teams really don't like each other.

But will the result be the same today?

Brock Purdy has had the Niners offence rolling recently while in Philly it's all about the defence, but could Jalen Hurts be let off the leash tonight?

Send us your thoughts on the game using the feedback form above - and let's have a quick show of thumbs on the result, thumbs up for the Eagles and thumbs down for San Francisco.

  2. Quarterback comparisonpublished at 21:34 GMT 11 January

San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles

Obviously there is a large discrepancy between Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts' stats for the regular season as Purdy missed eight games with a toe injury.

The only game Hurts missed was when he was rested for the Eagles' final-day defeat by Washington last week. He has passed for more yards and touchdowns than during Philly's Super Bowl-winning season, but his completion rate and passer rating are down and he hasn't played as big a part in the Eagles' run game.

  3. Get Involved - Allen to win Super Bowl?published at 21:32 GMT 11 January

Josh Allen has to win his Super Bowl now; his needing to be Superman (and Buffalo often relying on that) isn't sustainable. Before my time and fandom, but he seems a lot like John Elway, and his career may well go the same way, with winning it all at the end. Great game by White.

  4. Team news - Williams back for 49ers; Eagles without Johnsonpublished at 21:29 GMT 11 January

San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles

San Francisco's left tackle Trent Williams missed last week's defeat by Seattle with a hamstring injury but the star offensive lineman is back for the 49ers

Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall has been struggling with knee and ankle injuries and has been ruled out.

Philly have suffered a big blow, though, as right tackle Lane Johnson is also out. The two-time Super Bowl winner has been playing with a foot injury in recent weeks but he and fellow offensive lineman Brett Toth (concussion) won't play today.

This is a repeat of the NFC Championship game three years ago, when Philly brought Brock Purdy's bid for a fairytale Super Bowl appearance to a painful end.

Purdy began the season as the last player to be picked in the NFL Draft yet injuries saw him thrust into San Francisco's starting line-up and he won on his first seven career starts before visiting Philly.

The Eagles' defence gave him a torrid time, putting him out of the game with an elbow injury, before back-up Josh Johnson was also forced out, meaning Christian McCaffrey had to finish the 31-7 defeat at quarterback.

Philly went on to lose the Super Bowl to Kansas City, as did Purdy and the 49ers in 2024, before the Eagles finally slayed the Chiefs last year.

San Francisco have been hampered by injuries this season, while the Eagles have been inconsistent, but both have plenty of play-off pedigree so this is a heavyweight match-up in Pennsylvania.

"This is playoff Josh, he’s been incredible leader for our team and our whole organisation.

"We’ll enjoy it for about six hours on the ride home but I couldn’t be more proud of the guys and the staff, shout out to the guys at home."

Buffalo Bills linebacker Shaq Thompson speaking to Sky Sports: "Words can't explain how good it feels now. It's been like this all season, highs and lows but we're here now.

"We'll figure out who we've got next and get straight to it. The biggest thing was communication, I wanted to get it right. We had a film session on it last night and it paid off."

Josh Allen is superman. For other teams, it's can you be his kryptonite? He looked so calm and collected out there, even when it got to crunch time.

It's a great feeling for the Bills. They can enjoy the victory now, it's fun, have a sip of tequila but as soon as they get home it's time to focus on the next game.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen: "Just trusting everybody on the field. Great team win, all we've got to do is play our game and find a way to win the football game, onto the next."

On Khalil Shakir, who finished with a team-high 82 receiving yards: "He never complains, just puts his head down and works. Everybody plays for each other.

"We've got to go out there and do it again."

That gives Josh Allen the chance to take a knee and seal victory in Florida.

Jacksonville have enjoyed an excellent end to the season to clinch the third seed in the AFC, but it's the Bills who will march on after four lead changes in the final quarter.

This could be Josh Allen's best chance yet of reaching a Super Bowl and the reigning MVP's hopes stay alive for at least another week.

Tre'Davious White with incredible defence. He is all over Jakobi Meyers. It is just a great defensive play ending Jacksonville's season.

  14. Turnover - Jags interceptedpublished at 21:05 GMT 11 January

Buffalo Bills 27-24 Jacksonville Jaguars - fourth quarter

Oh no, this is not how they wrote the script in Duval.

On the first play of the drive, Trevor Lawrence fires it over the middle towards Jakobi Meyers, but he's under pressure from Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White.

The ball comes off his hands to be picked off by safety Cole Bishop.

What a drive. Jacksonville smartly said, let them score. They backed out of it. That gives them the most time.

Touchdown - Billspublished at 21:04 GMT 11 January

Buffalo Bills 27-24 Jacksonville Jaguars - fourth quarter

The Bills are less than a yard short, with 65 seconds left.

Will they go for the touchdown on the first try?

They do, and to be honest, I don't think the Jaguars' defence put up much resistance.

Josh Allen barges over for his second rushing TD of the day and the Jaguars have 1:04 to go win it.

  17. 'Bills need to play smart'published at 21:01 GMT 11 January

    Phoebe Schecter
    BBC Sport NFL columnist

This is where Josh Allen comes to life, it's huge. The Bills are going to have to play smart, they need points on the board but are they going to risk putting the ball in Trevor Lawrence's hands?

  18. Postpublished at 21:01 GMT 11 January

Buffalo Bills 20-24 Jacksonville Jaguars - fourth quarter

Buffalo go for the tush push, and they get the first down with ease.

But the Bills manage to keep Josh Allen moving and the officials give a touchdown. Allen was literally carried at some point there, both feet left the ground.

But the replay shows he did hit the deck just short of the goal-line.

Buffalo Bills 20-24 Jacksonville Jaguars - fourth quarter

The Bills burn nearly a minute with a complete of short gains, before Josh Allen dumps it off to Khalil Shakir, but he looks short of the first down.

It's 4th and inches, Buffalo's season comes down to this play.

  20. Two-minute warningpublished at 20:55 GMT 11 January

Josh Allen goes deep towards Brandin Cooks and the veteran receiver reels it in to give the Bills a huge gain right before we reach the two-minute warning.

The Bills are up to the Jags' 20-yard line.

What's the plan now then? Kill some time before trying to get into the end zone?

We know that Trevor Lawrence is fully capable of leading the Jags back down the other end if you leave him long enough.
