  1. Can James Cook, erm, cook Jags?published at 18:09 GMT 11 January

Buffalo will want to try and get the league's leading rusher James Cook into the game - as he's going up against the NFL's top-ranked rush defence owned by the Jaguars.

This could be a key contest as running the ball is key in play-off games, and especially if Cook gets some joy then it can take some heat off Josh Allen and allow him to focus on throwing the ball and using play-action passes.

Should Jacksonville bottle him up though, Allen will be forced to do it all himself, and that can often lead to mistakes. A lot rests on James Cook's shoulders tonight.

  2. First downpublished at 18:09 GMT 11 January

Crucial third down conversion by Josh Allen to Tyrell Shavers so instead of punting out of their own end zone they're out to about the 23.

    Class from Allen.

  3. Now or never for Josh Allen?published at 18:07 GMT 11 January

Buffalo are play-off regulars but despite Josh Allen's brilliance they've continuously come up short against the likes of Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson and mainly the arch nemesis Patrick Mahomes.

Well, none of those are in the play-offs this year and instead it's largedly untested quarterbacks or the veteran Aaron Rodgers standing in the way, so the door looks wide open.

The only problem? Well, Allen has never won a play-off game on the road, is tonight the night?

Josh Allen is literally superman. He's so mobile and attacks every inch of the grass, he always finds a way to deliver. you've got to keep this guy contained because he will explode. It's his ability to use his legs, when he scrambles, it hurts your defense.

This guy can do it all and is willing to put it all on the line today.

  5. Jags puntpublished at 18:06 GMT 11 January

    Buffalo Bills 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

An early stop by the Bills defence, and the special teams almost blocks the punt but the kick sails deep and Josh Allen will start backed up just outside his own end zone.

    Bills v Jags predictions

    Phoebe Schecter: Bills

With Kansas City, Cincinnati and Baltimore not in the play-offs, this is the clearest route to the Super Bowl the Bills have had, but this is a scary Jags team.

They've won their last eight, so they're the team that has momentum. They're having fun out there, and we've never seen this version of Trevor Lawrence before, the way he's finishing in the red zone. He looks so confident.

But I still have so much faith in Josh Allen. We've seen it so many times, where he comes to life in the fourth quarter, and it's hard to bet against him. So I'm going for my Bills, especially because I'll be working at the game – and I can't stand the thought of them losing!

    Paul Higham: Jags

You can't underestimate an eight-game win streak even with some bad teams thrown in there - the Jags still dominated the Chargers at home and were commanding winners in Denver. They've also beaten a Chiefs, Texans and 49ers so they're no joke.

Trevor Lawrence has been playing more like Josh Allen down the stretch and he's got better receiving weapons. James Cook will be hard to stop and the MVP is in town but I think a confident Jags side won't be fazed. I'll back the upset.

    Ben Collins: Bills

The Jaguars have looked superb over the past few weeks but I think Bills' play-off experience will see them to a tight win.

Buffalo have been stronger in the second half, with Josh Allen leading them to some comeback wins. More often than not, the reigning MVP tends to find a way, and even if the Jags get the jump on Buffalo, it's difficult to not to back the Bills when they're on the charge.

    Josh Allen Trevor Lawrence

Not much between the two triggermen today, with Trevor Lawrence almost getting into double figures for rushing touchdowns as he's been unleashed by Liam Coen.

Josh Allen has been Josh Allen but he's at times struggled to find reliable receivers. Who wins this one?

  9. Bills face streaking Jagspublished at 17:59 GMT 11 January

Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars (18:00)

    Bills Jaguars

MVP Josh Allen has to hit the road with the Bills after they were pipped by the Patriots to the AFC East, and in Jacksonville they'll face a side that stormed into the play-offs with eight straight wins.

Rookie head coach Liam Coen has unlocked a new dual threat feature in Trevor Lawrence who has been scoring rushing and passing TDs for fun - with 24 in total during their winning run that's come with an average victory of 19.1 points per game.

Buffalo's James Cook leads the NFL's top rushing attack, but the Jags have the best run defence, so that contest could make or break this one.

Jacksonville look to have a balanced attack and defence, with Buffalo leaning more on the run but both sides look evenly matched. There should be plenty of points in this one...

    Jaguars 13-4

A brilliant turnaround season under Liam Coen that nobody really expected, especially after losing to Houston dropped them to 5-4 - but they would win every game after that.

Highlights were victory in Denver and a Monday Night Football success over the Chiefs and with Trevor Lawrence and his offence piling on the points down the stretch they've gone from surprise package to genuine contenders.

    Bills 12-5

The Bills have had two four-game winning streaks, one to start the season and then one down the stretch to punch their post-season ticket and keep the pressure up on the Patriots.

Losing at home to New England was a blow, but a defeat they avenged, while a tough late season loss to the Eagles was a bitter pill to swallow as Josh Allen played so well to drag his side back into it but just came up short with a bad missed throw at the death.

Buffalo started the season as one of the favourites - they've not always been convincing but with the best run game in the league and the MVP in the side they've shown at times just what they can do.

    Back so soon NFL fans?

Welcome to a bumper Sunday of NFL play-off action with three wildcard games hoping to follow yesterday's absolute scenes in Carolina and Chicago.

First up we've got Josh Allen's latest bid to get Buffalo back to the Super Bowl as they visit the red-hot Jags, before the champs are here as the Eagles host the 49ers in a rematch of their ill-tempered NFC Championship game a few years back.

And then to finish it all off the New England Patriots are back in the play-offs as they host the Los Angeles Chargers.

If we get anything like last night's drama we're in for a treat to sit back and stay right here as three more teams move on down the road to the Super Bowl.
