On first down, Trevor Lawrence hands if off to Parker Washington but he's flipped in the tackle. Thankfully, he appears unscathed as he soon gets to his feet.

The Jags then run it on fourth-and-one and Washington gets three yards to keep the drive going.

The opening quarter ends with a welcome Jags first down - they'll need a few more in the second quarter to claw back into this game.

Right, can Trevor Lawrence get this Jags offence moving as they badly need a response to this early onslaught.

  4. touchdown

Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Rams strike again! Davante Adams this time showing all his skills by collecting the ball from Matt Stafford in the right corner of the end zone.

That's just a bit too easy for the Rams, with Stafford slicing up this Jaguars secondary with relative ease. Adams has just roasted his defender there to get open - he's just so dangerous from that range.

  5. Stafford slinging itpublished at 15:00 BST 19 October 2025

Los Angeles Rams 7-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Matt Stafford is feeling it now, he slings one into the end zone that's not too far from being picked, but then finds the safest of safe hands in Davante Adams for another first down on the 15-yard line.

  6. Rams moving againpublished at 14:58 BST 19 October 2025

Los Angeles Rams 7-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

A big pass interference penalty on the Jags moves the chains, and then Matt Stafford rolls out on a bootleg before finding tight end Colby Parkinson for a first down after a 23-yard pick-up.

  7. Almost pickedpublished at 14:54 BST 19 October 2025

Los Angeles Rams 7-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence is almost picked off at the line by Kobie Turner as he throws into heavy traffic. That brings up third down where he goes for a big one, but it's dropped into space in between two receivers and the Jags have to punt again.

Captain Duval with Jacksonville Jaguars fans outside Wembley in October 2025

I bumped into UK-based superfan Captain Duval with a few other Jags fans outside the stadium. He came prepared, with a jaguar print poncho, and although the rain could make it tricky for receivers like Travis Hunter today, Captain Duval reckons we could see the star rookie make an impact on defence instead.

"Just put him on as a cornerback and [the rain] will work to his advantage," he said. "I was nervous at the start of the season when he said he was going to play both ways because I thought 'he's just going to get injured', but the more the weeks go on, the more entertaining and exciting he's becoming. And he seems such a nice guy too."

Captain Duval added: "The game's going to be close. I think what's going to decide it is a turnover or a field goal, especially in this weather.

"I'm a bit nervous about it after last week's game, but I'm confident that they would have had a word and worked some stuff out, especially Cam [Little, Jags kicker]. Missing four points, that's unheard of for him. We're not used to that."

  9. Mumpfield makes his markpublished at 14:52 BST 19 October 2025

Konata Mumpfield enjoyed that. That's a first NFL touchdown for the seventh-round draft pick and I'm guessing he's a soccer fan as - at the home of the other football - he celebrated by doing Cristiano Ronaldo's 'Siu' celebration in the end zone.

There's that 'next man up' mentality from the Rams and what a great start by the 22-year-old as he aims to make the most of his opportunity with star receiver Puka Nacua out of action this week.

The Rams strike first at Wembley! Konata Mumpfield, who is playing with Puka Nacua out, hauls in the five-yard Matt Stafford pass at the back of the end zone.

Just a second catch of the season for Mumpfield, his first coming last week in Baltimore after Nacua went down injured - but he's proved to be an able deputy with the opening touchdown of the game.

That's a solid 13-play opening drive by the Rams, covering 60 yards and taking almost seven minutes off the clock - and built on that decision by Sean McVay to go for it on fourth down.

  12. Fourth downpublished at 14:43 BST 19 October 2025

Los Angeles Rams 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Rams get into the red zone, but on a third down Matt Stafford is just too high on his pass to Davante Adams, so the field goal unit will come out...oh no, hang on, they're going for it!

  13. First down!published at 14:38 BST 19 October 2025

The chains are moved for the first time today as Matt Stafford finds tight end Tyler Higbee wide open on a quick outside route and that's a first down Rams.

  14. Why have the Rams arrived in London so late?published at 14:36 BST 19 October 2025

Every team does the trip to London differently, but I spoke with the Rams' president Kevin Demoff on Friday and just had to ask about their rare approach as they chose not to arrive until yesterday.

After winning 17-3 at the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, the Rams stayed on the east coast, holding practice at the Baltimore Orioles' baseball field, before flying out on Friday. This is the 42nd regular-season game to be played in London and it is thought no other team has ever arrived the day before the game.

"This is our fifth trip to London as a club," Demoff told me. "We came in 2012, we stayed here for the week and got blown out. We played here in 2016, we stayed here for the week and played terrible.

"In 2017 we stayed in the US the whole week and flew out late, and won 33-0. We did that again in 2019 with Sean [McVay], and we won by two scores, so it’s stay here the whole week and get blown out or stay in the US and win.

"When we play in the UK, we always work with the NFL to schedule our opponent the previous week on the east coast of the US. When we go out [to the east coast], we stay that whole week, we practice there and then we come.

"Our sports science people will tell you, you either need to come the whole week or at the very end, to maximise performance on Sunday, so [this time] we're coming at the very end."

A three-and-out isn't quite what the Jags would've scripted on their opening drive, as they kick it away and allow Matthew Stafford to get his side going on his own 36 yard line.

Not a great start that is it? The Jags lose three yards as Trevor Lawrence is sacked on the opening play of the game.

The Rams have played here before and after the franchise moved from St Louis to Los Angeles. They have a 2-2 record so far and those performances had a big impact on why, this time, the Rams did not arrive until yesterday:

NFL 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Hunter best bits

After being named college football's best player last year as a two-way player, Travis Hunter made it clear he wanted to continue playing on offence and defence in the NFL.

The Jaguars traded up to select the 'unicorn' with the second overall pick of the draft and he has become the first rookie in at least 30 years to play so many snaps on both sides of the ball.

He's played slightly more on offence so far, making 20 catches for 197 yards, with two splash plays in the Jags' wins over San Francisco and Kansas City.

Head coach Liam Coen said this week that the Jags have been looking at ways to get Hunter more involved on offence, though, so could he be set for a breakout performance under the Wembley arch today?
