So far more than a quarter of teams have changed their QB, so what makes a good backup?

Image source, Getty ImagesDevante Adams is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and he's made mincemeat of the Jaguars defence today - scoring two touchdowns.
In those red zone situations he's been so gard to cover throughout his career - so probably not the best ganme plan from the Jags to leave him one-on-one...

Image source, Getty ImagesTo say it was all Rams in the first half is a bit of an understatement. Matthew Stafford had his way with the Jaguars defence, and Trevor Lawrence just got no change whatsoever out of the Rams, who swarmed all over him and had every option covered.
Jacksonville have basically done everything wrong - they can't run it, they can't pass it, they're three of nine on third downs, they had no pressure on Stafford and they've missed a field goal.
Even in terms of penalties, they've been flagged five times for 55 yards including some crucial drive extending ones for the Rams - while LA haven't had one penalty against them.
Los Angeles Rams 21-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
There's less than two minutes to the half and the Rams are deep in their own territory so there's no need to take any risks here.
Kyren Williams makes a couple of short runs before Matt Stafford takes a knee to take us to the interval.
The Rams only touched down yesterday, but they're flying in this first half. What can the Jags do to get into this game?
Los Angeles Rams 21-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence is forced out of the pocket and he scrambles for first down. The Jags quarterback ducks into the tackle and slides along the deck but he was just short.
The Jags will turn it over on downs.
Los Angeles Rams 21-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence looks for Travis Hunter out wide but it's a bit out of his reach and the two-way rookie can only get a hand to it before it hits the deck.
It's now fourth-and-six and the Jags are going to run it.
Los Angeles Rams 21-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
That's better from Trevor Lawrence as he makes four successive completions to Brian Thomas Jr, Hunter Long, Johnny Mundt and Parker Washington.
The Jags are not just into LA territory but right up to their 14-yard line. They could really do with a score before the half.

It looks like 4-1 was a mirage. Back down to earth the last 2 weeks and Trevor back to looking below average. Could be a long season from here on out…
Dre, Epsom
Dre's not too hopeful watching this from the Jags, but are there any Jacksonville fans out there not so doom-and-gloom on their side?
Admittedly it looks a long way back for them from here.

Los Angeles Rams 21-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
The Rams are firmly in charge here and it's a pretty miserable pass from Trevor Lawrence on first down as he sends a screen pass skidding along the Wembley turf.

Image source, Getty ImagesThe Jags manage to stop Kyren Williams punching it in from a yard but there's no denying the Rams on second down as Matt Stafford finds Davante Adams at the back of the end zone, with the veteran receiver showing his class by taking the catch over his shoulder for his second touchdown of the day.
Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
Matt Stafford checks down to tight end Colby Parkinson, who gets a few yards after the catch before burrowing into the end zone, taking out one of his team-mates in the process.
The Rams celebrate a touchdown but the play's called back. Replays show that Parkinson's knee went down early and hit the deck a yard short of the goal-line.
Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
The Rams have marched up the field in a matter of seconds, with a Kyren Williams run, a defensive pass interference call and a 16-yard pass to Davante Adams.
The Rams are already up to the Jags' 17-yard line.
Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence finds his number one receiver Brian Thomas Jr for six yards but the next one on third down goes incomplete so the Jags are going to have to settle for a field-goal attempt from 50 yards.
Cam Little has been so reliable for the Jaguars but, as Captain Duval noted earlier, he missed both kicks last week and that's another that goes begging as Little sends it well wide to the left of the posts.
Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence connects with Hunter Long before Tim Patrick goes out of bounds for a 22-yard gain.
That's a first down for the Jags.

It's been all Rams so far in the half, can the Jags hit back?

Wow, Parker Washington takes the punt return all the way to the house but there was a flag long before he strolled into the end zone.
The replays show there was a push in the back on a Ram, denying him the chance to make a tackle on Washington as he set off, so it'll be called back.
The Jags will begin this drive at their own 30-yard line.
Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
The Rams are soon at third down and Matt Stafford goes for a deep shot to Jordan Whittington but the receiver's unable to haul in it as he attempts a diving catch on the sideline.
This time the Rams have to punt.
Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
Matt Stafford has had the ball twice today and has led two touchdown drives of 69 and 70 yards. The first was more methodical, taking up 13 plays and needing that fourth-down conversion, but the second took just six plays - although had that pass interference penalty to help.
Will Stafford make it three out of three?
Los Angeles Rams 14-0 Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence is flushed out of the pocket on first down but is brought down by linebacker Nate Landman for a three-yard loss.
Travis Etienne then has a run up the middle stuffed before Lawrence fails to connect with Travis Hunter so no reprieve for the Jaguars this time, they'll have to punt it back to the Rams.
