Panthers fan. Was expecting a blood bath. Feels like it should've been a blood bath. But somehow we're only 3 points back? I'll take it.

  2. Another shock on the cards?published at 23:16 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-14 Carolina Panthers

    NFL have your say

Panthers are converting nicely on third down, if they keep the ball secure they might have a good chance, it has been the season for shocks.

    Danny, Birmingham

The Panthers were 3-6 on first down in the first half, the Rams went just 1-6 so Carolina definitely hold that advantage. Another shock on the cards here?

  3. 'Hope Rams don't throw it away'published at 23:14 GMT 10 January

    NFL have your say

It's felt like my team the Rams have been the best team in the NFL for 3 quarters of the season. Hope they don't throw it away tonight.

    Michael Eskowitz, Manchester

And for most of the first half the Rams dominated, but they're just three points ahead...

  4. 'Re-seed play-offs?'published at 23:12 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-14 Carolina Panthers

    NFL have your say

The format is the reason the Panthers are in the play-offs. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe re-seeding after you take all the division winners plus the wildcards.

    Ryan, London

Seems like a sensible suggestion from Ryan, thoughts?

  5. 'This might be the best half of football we've seen from Young'published at 23:10 GMT 10 January

HT: Los Angeles Rams 17-14 Carolina Panthers

    Greg Olsen
Former NFL tight end on Fox Sports

You could argue that week 13 was the best performance of Bryce Young's career, but here in his first post-season opportunity in year three, this might be the best half of football we've seen from the young quarterback.

Byron Young got some interior pressure, that's what moved Bryce Young [out of the pocket], then he's just one-on-one in space with Nate Landman.

It's not really his game. He's not the biggest guy, he's not the most physical, but his athleticism is probably one of the more under-rated aspects of his game and he called on it when he needed to.

It's largely been a story of the Rams dominating and the Panthers shooting themselves in the foot, but the gap is just three points as we hit half time.

Puka Nacua has been the star of the half with 63 yards receiving and two touchdowns - yet he'll go in bitterly disappointed after dropping what looked a certain score right at the end.

Matthew Stafford has 137 yards and a score while Bryce Young has 151 yards and an interception, but has scored a rushing touchdown and has actually really good in his first play-off start.

  8. Puka drop!published at 23:06 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-14 Carolina Panthers

What? You don't see Puka Nacua drop many, you never see him drop a pretty simple catch like this that looked like a certain touchdown had he brought it in.

Nacua had shaken off his defender and had the lien at his mercy but the ball took a hard bounce off those usually safe hands and the chance goes begging.

Puka can't believe it, Stafford can't belive it, I can't believe it, can you? The Rams will punt it away in the dying seconds.

  9. Stafford hitpublished at 23:04 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-14 Carolina Panthers

Matthew Stafford swinging for the fences in the final few seconds, but he hits his right hand on a Panthers defender going for a pass and he looks in a spot of bother.

  10. Uh ohpublished at 23:02 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-14 Carolina Panthers

What did we say about mistakes? Ryan Fitzgerald misses the landing zone from the kick-off so the Rams get the ball back on the 40 with one timeout still left to take.

  11. touchdown

Touchdown - Pantherspublished at 22:59 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-14 Carolina Panthers

Game on! Bryce Young shows his speed as he darts forward out of the pocket and takes it all the way to the end zone himself.

The Rams close in on Young but he jumps forward to evade the pass rush, then sees a wide-open field in front of him and he's far too elusive in the open field for the Rams defence as he dives over the line for a 16-yard touchdown scamper.

Carolina have made so many mistakes this half yet are now just three behind.

  12. Big play!published at 22:58 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-7 Carolina Panthers

Jalen Coker bursts down the left sideline to take a 37-yard catch as the Panthers power into the red zone.

A touchdown here would make things really interesting....

  13. Postpublished at 22:57 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-7 Carolina Panthers

Big flag for another pass interference call against the Rams and Carolina move to near midfield as they look for points with a minute left in the half.

  14. No good!published at 22:56 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-7 Carolina Panthers

Wow, I thought Matthew Stafford was going to run for the first down then when the space opened up, but he took the throw at the last minute but it hit the ground in front of his intended receiver.

Stafford has what looks a heated chat with Sean McVay on the sideline as the Panthers take over having dodged a bullet there.

  15. Rams going for it on fourth down....published at 22:54 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-7 Carolina Panthers

It's getting a bit chippy out there now as the Rams creep forward after a penalty - facing a third and 12 just inside the 30.

Tyler Higbee makes a nice catch to make if fourth and three and Sean McVay is going for it...

  16. 'Panthers deserve to be there!'published at 22:54 GMT 10 January

Re: 22:28 The Panthers deserve to be there! You don't just fall into the play-offs by accident. Tbf they are making a game of it too. The Bears and Packers later is a complete toss-up after the two games in season. Really want the Bears to do it though! I'm happy as a Broncos fan, been a while since we've looked this good.

You can’t make mistakes like that against a team like the Rams.

  18. Two-minute warningpublished at 22:50 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-7 Carolina Panthers

Blake Corum moves the chains as we hit the two-minute warning with the Rams on the 26 and pretty certain to add at least three points before the break. Maybe more...

It's been a bit of a nightmare for Carolina so far who were pretty much perfect when they beat the Rams but have made mistakes and turnovers that are costing them right now.

  19. Muffed it!published at 22:47 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-7 Carolina Panthers

Oh no! Trevor Etienne muffs the punt and the Rams dive on the ball and regain possession just inside the Panthers half.

  20. Three and outpublished at 22:46 GMT 10 January

Los Angeles Rams 17-7 Carolina Panthers

Matthew Stafford overthrows Davante Adams down the sidline so that's a quick stop by the Panthers defence as LA have to punt.
