    NFL

I think Rodgers will return next year personally if Mike Tomlin stays on as Head Coach, I think he has really enjoyed this year with Pittsburgh and made a comment to how tight the group is while simultaneously taking a shot at how it was the complete opposite at the Jets.

Aaron Rodgers is furious after his throw out to the right is too high for Kenneth Gainwell on third down and the Steelers have to punt.

A couple of good plays in there on that opening drive but Houston's defence showed how good they are with the stop.

Houston quarterback CJ Stroud on what he's learned from his previous four play-off games: "Every play matters. There's going to be ups and downs, the flows of the game, but focus every play. It doesn't just take one, it takes all of them. So one and every play is my mindset and my team's mindset."

On the Steelers' defensive line: "Alex Highsmith and TJ Watt do a great job on their edges, so I've got to step up in the pocket, deliver the ball on time and get it out of my hands as quick as I can."

Off we go in Pittsburgh with the Steelers having the ball first and getting a first down right off the bat after Aaron Rodgers handed it off to Jaylen Warren.

Houston have won nine in a row to enter the play-offs as the hottest team in the NFL, largely due to their defence.

This will be tough for Aaron Rodgers tonight.

Aaron Rodgers is all smiles as he warms up for his 22nd NFL play-off start, and who knows, maybe his last?

He does look to have enjoyed his time in Pittsburgh this season though. Let's see how he gets on against this Houston defence first.

    Phoebe Schecter: Texans

I'm going for the Texans because of their defence, it's just ferocious. Danielle Hunter has 15 sacks, Will Anderson is second in the NFL with a career-high 85 QB pressures, and they have four players with four interceptions. That's a crazy stat - which of their defensive backs do you throw towards?

Aaron Rodgers is doing tons trying to get the Steelers' offence on the same page but they're still having miscues. DK Metcalf is back from suspension but I just don't see them having enough firepower to compete with this defence.

It's the main reason the Texans could make it deep into the play-offs. They can cause a lot of trouble for a lot of people.

    Paul Higham: Texans

I love Aaron Rodgers and it would be great to see him produce some old magic - having DK Metcalf back should help with that but this Houston Texans defence scares me.

Pittsburgh weather won't help a dome team like Houston and this home crowd is a great leveller for the Steelers so it should be close, but I just fancy the Texans defence to be the difference.

    Ben Collins: Steelers

Aaron Rodgers may be facing a way more daunting defensive front than when in the Steelers' final-day decider against the Ravens, but DK Metcalf is back, giving Rodgers a deep threat.

He also has to get the ball out before the Texans' pass rush comes for him but I'm backing the veteran to do enough to earn at least one more play-off game.

Will this be the last we see of Aaron Rodgers in the NFL?

Whether the Pittsburgh Steelers win or lose will the four-time MVP decide that enough is enough at age 42 and call it quits?

Even if the Steelers win, you wonder whether Rodgers will still retire after what's been a tough season - but what do you think?

Thumbs up if Rodgers will continue and thumbs down if you think this is his last season - plus let us know your thoughts using the feedback form above.

  10. Key Man: Gainwell by name, gain well by naturepublished at 01:01 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans @ Pittsburgh Steelers (01:15)

Pittsburgh picked up running back Kenneth Gainwell on a one-year deal after playing a supporting role to Saquon Barkley on Philadelphia's Super Bowl-winning run last season, and he has proved an invaluable addition.

After enjoying a breakout season following four years with the Eagles, the 26-year-old was voted the Steelers' Most Valuable Player by his team-mates. He has not only shared the load with leading rusher Jaylen Warren but has contributed in the pass game too, claiming 527 rushing yards and 422 receiving yards - both career-high figures

Gainwell has also been a threat in the red zone, claiming eight touchdowns overall, so has been a reliable alternative if Warren or DK Metcalf have been struggling to make an impact.

Aaron Rodgers turned to Gainwell to run in a touchdown in the final quarter of Pittsburgh's division-clinching win over Baltimore, and in clutch moments in a play-off game, Rodgers could do so again tonight.

Aaron Rodgers is by far the most experienced quarterback to make the play-offs this season in terms of play-off wins.

CJ Stroud has two to his name - Caleb Williams and Drake Maye won their play-off debuts over the weekend and Sam Darnold and Bo Nix will get their chance for maiden wins next week.

But it's Rodgers who has been there, done that and got the t-shirt - can that experience help him against this Texans defence though?

  15. Key Man: Collins the main target on Houston's offencepublished at 00:46 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans @ Pittsburgh Steelers (01:15)

Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin this week hailed Houston's Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter as the most dynamic edge rush tandem in the league.

Four other Houston players have four interceptions so rather than pick out one of their many defensive threats, we're going to highlight their main offensive weapon.

Pittsburgh's defence isn't too shabby either so Houston must find answers on offence and Nico Collins is usually the man who provides them.

The 26-year-old receiver has had his third straight 1,000-yard season, finishing ninth in the league with 1,117. He was also sixth for yards per catch (15.7) and eighth for yards per game (74.5), so Collins will be CJ Stroud's main target when Pittsburgh's pass rush is on the prowl.

  16. Quarterback comparisonpublished at 00:44 GMT 13 January

    Texans v Steelers

Pretty similar season stats for these two - CJ Stroud has not been as flashy as last season but has been effective at times and his defence has done the rest.

Aaron Rodgers has had some big struggles but he's also shown some of his old self at times as well - and having DK Metcalf back tonight will really help.

But as we've already seen this weekend, probably best put the form book away for these matches.

League-leading defence helps 12-5 Houston end the season on fire

The Houston Texans went under the rader for most of the season after losing their opening three games of the season, but gradually, the rest of the league began to take notice of their fearsome defence.

After a narrow loss to Denver in week nine, the Texans won their final nine games of the regular season, despite having back-up quarterback Davis Mills under centre for the first three of those games.

Along the way they beat Jacksonville, Kansas City, Buffalo, the Chargers and the Colts, when they were still in play-off contention.

The Jaguars ultimately edged out the Texans to clinch the AFC South title but Houston led the league with the fewest yards given up per game (277.2). Only Seattle (17.2) conceded fewer points per game than the Texans (17.4) and only two teams have forced more turnovers than Houston's 29.

10-7 Pittsburgh win division in final-day decider

Aaron Rodgers left it relatively late in the off-season to commit to the Steelers, but Pittsburgh managed to make a 4-1 start, including a memorable win over Minnesota in Dublin.

The Packers legend then faced his former team for the first time, with Green Bay winning in Pittsburgh, before an inconsistent November left the Steelers 6-6. Their fans even booed the team and called for long-serving head coach Mike Tomlin to be fired following a dismal home defeat by Buffalo.

The Steelers won their next three to go clear at the top of the AFC North but a loss at Cleveland gave Baltimore the chance to snatch the division title in the final game of the regular season.

A thrilling finish culminated with the Ravens' rookie kicker missing a last-gasp field goal to give Tomlin his eighth AFC North title from 19 seasons with Pittsburgh, and he also maintained his remarkable record of having never had a losing season.

    Texans Steelers

Here we go, the final wildcard game and it's got a lot to live up to after this weekend!

The 10-7 Pittsburgh Steelers get to host the 12-4 Houston Texans thanks to Baltimore missing a last-gasp field goal - that one kick was the difference between a home play-off game and watching the play-offs at home on the couch.

Aaron Rodgers will look to take advantage and extend his career - as this game could end up being his last - but it won't be easy against the best defence in football.

Mike Tomlin has gone nine years since his last play-off win, and he might need one to save his job so expect Pittsburgh to be right at it tonight, but will it be enough?

Vote thumbs up for Pittsburgh and down for Houston.
