  1. End of third quarterpublished at 03:33 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - fourth quarter

The final 15 minutes of the wildcard round are coming up with Houston looking to extend their narrow lead here after that big play at the end of the third.

The ball's on the 36 and the way this Houston defence has been playing even just a field goal here might be enough! A touchdown and that could very well be that.

  2. Biggest play of the gamepublished at 03:31 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - third quarter

CJ Stroud gets those losts yards back, and then some, as he launches a 49-yard pass for Christian Kirk - the touchdown scorer and confirmed deep threat for Houston.

That's the longest play of the game and could be a pviotal one.

  3. Fumbled snappublished at 03:30 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - third quarter

Another mistake by Houston as the snap is taken before he's even expecting it, so he has to turn and get on the ball for a five-yard loss.

Houston on the ball again. Nico Collins tries to take a diving catch but not only drops it but but slams his head into the cold Pittsburgh turf and he's led off the field and no doubt into concussion protocol.

Houston are unlike any other defence in the league. They just line up, they show you pre-snap pretty much what they're going to do and you just don't have any answers for it.

Danielle Hunter may have saved a touchdown because DK Metcalf gets on top [of his defender] and there's a chance to get the ball down the field but Hunter doesn't even allow Aaron Rodgers to get the pass off.

  6. Fumble!published at 03:25 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - third quarter

Danielle Hunter gets his hands on Aaron Rodgers just as he's about to launch a deep ball to DK Metcalf, and the pigskin pops out onto the floor.

Luckily for Pittsburgh Mason McCormick is there to dive on the losse ball and they can then punt it away on the next play.

  7. Postpublished at 03:22 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - third quarter

Adam Thielen takes a leaping 21-yard catch from Aaron Rodgers for a rare big completion for Pittsburgh.

This seems the way to go against this Texans defence. Pittsburgh have to try and get more yards in the run game, but the short screen passes and checkdowns on or behind the line of scrimmage just aren't working.

You have to turn this Houston defence around and not play in front of it.

  8. Postpublished at 03:21 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - third quarter

A penalty, a sack and a punt on Houston's next drive - which will be a relief to the Pittsburgh defence which was starting to look a bit tired after being on the field more this second half.

Can Aaron Rodgers finally find a way to unpick this Houston defence?

This is the [low-scoring] game that we expected coming in. You get in the position to score and don't come away with anything, like Houston on that last possession, so it's hard to imagine that it's a three-turnover game and they still have a one-point lead.

CJ Stroud has not been on his game. He's missed some throws.

  10. No flag as Pittsburgh puntpublished at 03:13 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - third quarter

Aaron Rodgers wants a flag for pass interference on his receiver Calvin Austin, but the refs don't agree and the Steelers have to kick it away.

They've now added just three points from three turnovers, which is a shocking return as the turnover battle more often than not decides play-off games, but not tonight it seems...

It's still hard going though as Aaron Rodger is chased down by Danielle Hunter again and the Steelers face yet another third and long.

  12. Third down completion!published at 03:10 GMT 13 January

Houston Texans 7-6 Pittsburgh Steelers - third quarter

After failing to convert a third down in the first half of a play-off game for the first time since 1989, Pittsburgh finally move the chains at the seventh attempt.

  13. Intercepted!published at 03:05 GMT 13 January

Would you believe it! CJ Stroud with a third turnover of the game as he throws an interception on third and short from the 14-yard line.

Brandin Echols it is who takes a diving catch when Stroud dances around in the pocket before a desperate flick forward towards the end zone.

That's another poor one from Stroud, who didn't really need to force the issue as with this Houston defence a field goal wouldn't be the worst outcome in the world.

Giving the ball away is criminal though.

I don't really know what to make of that first half. If you're Houston, you're frustrated that you're not leading by more.

If you're Pittsburgh then you're frustrated because you were held to under 100 yards and you didn't capitalise on the two takeaways. It's a 7-6 ball game and really, Pittsburgh's not done much of anything.

Speaking at half-time, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said: "We're doing a good enough job, certainly with taking the ball away.

"I'd like to see us have more success on third down, but the same could be said for our offence as well. We've got to be better this half."

Woody Marks again moves the chains as Houston enter the red zone and it's been all too easy since half-time for the visitors.

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans on CJ Stroud: "He's doing a really good job. We've just got to protect the ball there. We can't have the turnovers that we had. Our offence has just got to keep driving down and get us within striking distance."

On what's work with affecting Aaron Rodgers: "Up front, we're getting after him. We're playing really good coverage at the back end. The front is relentlessly getting after him and we have to keep doing that, keep winning third down to get off the field.

"Our guys are playing really good defence. We've just got to close it out and finish how we know how to finish."
