Where is Artemis II now?published at 11:20 BST 2 April
As of about 11:00 BST, the Orion spacecraft is about 221,000 miles away from the Moon and 42,500 miles from Earth, according to Nasa's real-time tracker of the mission.
Orion is currently still within the Earth's orbit, but the team are due to conduct a trans-lunar injection burn later today.
The manoeuvre will send the spacecraft on a trajectory towards the Moon, while also using the celestial body's gravity to launch back towards Earth.
