  2. "You're always pushing on, you're always at your physical limit."published at 12:23 GMT 14 November 2025

    Jeremy Vine
    BBC Radio 2 Presenter

I saw Sara yesterday, she was doing amazingly well, but it's hard. It was Yorkshire, it was night, it was wet, it was cold. She was absolutely buoyed up by people that have come out from houses to cheer her on. But it's difficult to stop and talk so you're always pushing on, you're always at your physical limit, and she was exhausted. I know she'll get to the finish line today and fall into your arms!

  3. "I don’t think I’d be able to do that, even on a horse"published at 12:13 GMT 14 November 2025

    Frankie Dettori
    Jockey

Hi Sara, just a short message to wish you all the best on your challenge. 5 marathons, I don’t think I’d be able to do that, even on a horse. Just keep strong and you’re doing it for a good cause and we’re very proud of you. Big kiss from Kentucky!

And Gary had a surprise for her - a message from her dad on his farm!

"Here you are, Sara, should be here feeding these animals instead of messing about. Ah, I'm kidding. Very proud of you and what you've been doing. Could have picked a better day though..."
