  1. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...published at 04:18 GMT 13 November 2016

It's been a bad week for Bones Jones

UFC interim light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been banned for a year after claiming he took a contaminated pill for erectile dysfunction.

The 29-year-old failed the test ahead of UFC 200 in the summer, which he had been expected to headline against Daniel Cormier.

He had previously failed a cocaine test and been suspended by the UFC after a hit-and-run incident.

The ban has been backdated to the date of the failed test, meaning Jones will be able to return to action next summer.

UFC 205 fighters unleash their power on a punchbag machine

Located just outside Madison Square Garden was a punchbag machine with a scoreboard showing just how well tonights fighters fared against one another.

Conor McGregor clashed heads with welterweight champ Tyron Woodley backstage earlier this week but it was the American who topped the leaderboards on the punchbag, proving the strength of a welterweight is not to be underestimated.

What a spectacular turn of events as Romero unleashed a powerful right hand to end the round before it had begun.

"The Soldier of God" then went on to leap out of the octagon and march around the wall before saluting the crowd.

Here we go, with the former champion landing a sharp kick early against the southpaw Romero.  Two very well matched former wrestlers, so this could be a tightly contested grappling contest - despite both also possessing impressive striking skills.

Local lad Chris Weidman is a big fan favourite at tonight’s event with his roots embedded in New York. He would probably have received the biggest reaction of the night if it wasn’t for a certain "notorious" Irishman due to arrive later on…

    Sorry Chris.

Yoel Romero. Michael Bisping's not a fan...

Now for a fight with quite the back story.

Yoel Romero and Chris Weidman’s bout at UFC 205 is supposed to set up the next contender for Britain’s own Michael Bisping, who won the middleweight title earlier this year and defended it against Dan Henderson in Manchester last month.

But Romero served a six-month suspension earlier this year after failing a steroid test. Even though it turned out to be from a tainted health supplement, Bisping’s anti-drugs stance means he’s publicly refused to fight the Cuban should Romero win tonight.

"If Yoel beats Chris, I honestly don't think I'll fight Yoel, because he tested positive for steroids," Bisping said on a radio interview last week.

"I don't see why he should be rewarded. If Weidman wins, that's the fight I want.”

All eyes on the octagon, then...
