  1. Nakamura v Breesepublished at 22:05 GMT 27 February 2016

    Round 3

Breese looks tired in this round. Nakamura has the dominant position for much of the third but there's no real damage inflicted.

This is going to be going to the judges for the first time in Breese's young career.

    And it's close.

The tension mounts and pressure rises as Keita Nakamura and Tom Breese scrap it out in the Octagon. The fans shout or boo outside the Octagon but inside the frustration shows on the faces of the fighters.

  4. Nakamura v Breesepublished at 22:00 GMT 27 February 2016

    Round 2

Nakamura, the 31-year-old Japanese fighter, takes down Breese. He gets in the mount position but Breese turns it around to put himself on top.

He's looking for a heel lock, then a kimura. Eventually he sits up and delivers some fists and then elbows to the head.

Suddenly, the round swings. After all that pressure Breese is is danger in the closing seconds from an omoplata attempt by Nakamura.

Overall much better from Breese, but this fight is tight. What do both men have left in the tank for the final round?

Tom Breese is doing a good job of creating that space and landing those single clean shots. That was another disciplined round from Breese. Nakamura managed to get on top at the end but so far Breese is looking good.

  6. Nakamura v Breesepublished at 21:54 GMT 27 February 2016

    Round 1

    A very tentative opening round.

Breese is breathing deeply at the end. His corner tell him "You're warmed up now, now go and fight."

That pretty much sums up round one.

Nakamura is doing a good job of being patient right now. It's so difficult to read Tom Breese as well.

  8. Next up: Keita Nakamura v Tom Breesepublished at 21:44 GMT 27 February 2016

Birmingham's Tom Breese is set for his third UFC bout. The 24-year-old welterweight is highly rated - can he claim a third knockout in a row tonight?

Here's UFC commentator Dan Hardy's verdict: "Tom Breese is the best prospect we have got in this country. He is a huge welterweight and has just looked unstoppable in his UFC career so far. I think we are going to see big things from him this year.”

  10. Pickett 'so emotional' after win over Riverapublished at 21:42 GMT 27 February 2016

A tearful Brad Pickett says defeat would have spelled the end for his career and is "emotional" at his split-decision win over Francisco Rivera.

He said: "I have been fighting a lot of demons. If I'd lost I would have retired so I'm glad I won.

"I'm so emotional. I started my career in London and I was prepared for it to end it here but I want to carry on.

"Tonight I was fighting not just for my new-born son and family but my job. I'm from a working-class background and want to work hard and put food on the table."

  11. Why it matters for Pickettpublished at 21:40 GMT 27 February 2016

This win was so important for Pickett. On the back of three loses in the Octagon, he faced being cut from the UFC.

That's perhaps why an emotional Pickett told the crowd he is there to put food on his family's table.

With that win - and how crucial was the late takedown in the third - he'll continue to do that.

  12. 'They're going toe-to-toe!'published at 21:36 GMT 27 February 2016

This exchange sums up the heart of these fighters.

  13. Pickett winspublished at 21:35 GMT 27 February 2016

He's done it! He's done it! A split decision.

What an important win for the Englishman.

Francisco Rivera was great in the first round but slowed down. I would not like to be a judge on that one - a really tough one to score.

  15. Pickett v Riverapublished at 21:34 GMT 27 February 2016

    Round 3

Both fighters slow down after a high-intensity, hard-fought first two rounds.

Pickett picks up the pace in the final minute, slamming a take down on Rivera. That could be big. But is it enough? It's tight...

A little bit more tentative now but both these men know that when they get into exchanges, it's with 100% intensity. I think that's what they're building up towards now.

  17. Pickett v Riverapublished at 21:30 GMT 27 February 2016

BBC Sport at the O2 Arena

"Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole" chants echo the arena. The intensity has reached another level as Brad Pickett shows a masterclass display in a toe-to-toe battle with Francisco Rivera. It sounds more like a football match than a UFC fight at this moment.

  18. Gervais' 'drunk, angry workout'published at 21:28 GMT 27 February 2016

  19. Pickett v Riverapublished at 21:28 GMT 27 February 2016

    Round 2

Rivera looks confident, like a man who is sure he can deliver the knockout blow.

Pickett, though, is moving better in this round. He's living dangerously, though, and starts to chase the fight.

With seconds remaining on the round, he catches Rivera with a low blow. After a break for Rivera to recover, Pickett again swings for the fences but we're into the third.
