    Breaking

Scoring within seconds of the kick off, Team Savage start as they mean to go on.

They've hit the 500 mark AND they've got it down to a 35 goal difference on aggregate.

  4. Pitch repairspublished at 15:57 GMT 5 March 2016

The ground staff are bouncing around like synchronised kangaroos at the moment trying to realign the astroturf jigsaw before hammering the seams down with a mallet. The patchwork pitch is starting to disintegrate like nearby Old Trafford used to in the 1990s.

When they resume, Team Savage will attempt to erase a 36 goal margin and score their 500th goal.

  5. Come on downpublished at 15:45 GMT 5 March 2016

If you're anywhere nearby, head down to Salford Quays to cheer on the last 2.5 hours of football (the rain's intermittent we'd say!) You'll also spot a fair few famous footballing faces.

Actor and semi-professional footballer Ralf Little is heading down to Salford Quays to get stuck in to the action. Who will nab him for their team? Looks like he's open to bribes... (to be paid directly to Sport Relief of course).

We've heard there are a few other football matches happening at the moment but the five-a-side match is the real one to watch. We would say that though, wouldn't we.

  8. #beardwatchpublished at 15:22 GMT 5 March 2016

Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.

Last night, as the clock ticked towards midnight, a player walked on to the pitch... and became an instant legend.

The combination of his immense goalkeeping prowess and his distinctive beard caught the attention of the commentators. It wasn't long before #beardwatch was born.

And here's what your money could do:

£25 could enable a disadvantaged child in Bangladesh to take part in sports activities for a year, improving their health, wellbeing and confidence.

£50 could pay for a disadvantaged young person in the UK to go on a sports coaching course giving them the skills they need to find work.

£70 could train a volunteer to run football and HIV awareness sessions for young people in a South African township.

Any amount, however small, will help make a difference.

A huge thanks for all your donations so far. This video shows just how your money can change lives...
