    Shearer 5s 222-220 Savage 5s

Welcome back to the Sport Relief #5liveaside challenge live text!

Some of us have had a nice sleep...

Others - like McFly's Danny Jones - have endured the overnight stint on the pitch in Salford...in snow....in shorts. Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

34 hours and counting...and it's Alan Shearer's boys who lead by two goals.

    Shearer 5s 122-130 Savage 5s

The Sport Relief pitch has now seen 13 hours of continuous play and a whopping 252 goals.

Thanks to everyone who's made their way down to the not-so-sunny Salford Quays today to take part. And it's far from over yet - there are still 46 hours left on the clock.

You can continue watching all the action throughout the small hours by clicking/pressing the play button at the top of this page.

And watch out for former Nottingham Forest, Spurs, Newcastle and England midfielder Jermaine Jenas on Question Time at 10.45pm. You can find that programme in the Live Coverage tab, as well as Up All Night with Rhod Sharp.

We'll be back with live updates from 7.30am tomorrow. Keep watching, keep tweeting - and keep donating! See you at sunrise when Danny from McFly will still be buzzing round the pitch.

  11. The best of the battle so far...published at 22:03 GMT 3 March 2016

If watching 57 hours of football isn't your bag, then here's a handy two-minute clip of some of today's highlights.

    Quote Message

It was like rolling back the years with the old celebration, it was good to be back scoring goals again

    Alan Shearer

I've made some great tackles... and I'm going to do some more

  12. Time for Mourinho mind games?!published at 21:58 GMT 3 March 2016

    Shearer 5s 121-128 Savage 5s

Well just like the Premier League title race, it's anyone's guess who's going to win this one. Savage was 15 goals up earlier, then Shearer sneaked ahead and now Robbie is back in front by 7 goals. Let's see if either of our captains deploy some psychological tactics to win the battle of the 5-a-sides.

  13. "I'm looking forward to the finish"published at 21:42 GMT 3 March 2016

Danny from McFly is looking forward to the finish. Don't worry, you've only got 11 hours to go. It'll be fine Danny, it's not as if it's cold and raining. Honestly Danny, it's not. It's just a figment of your imagination.

  14. Team Savage are McFlying!published at 21:36 GMT 3 March 2016

    Shearer 5s 118-121 Savage 5s

Well ok maybe I'm exaggerating just slightly, but they are five nil up and are now leading by three goals overall. Savage's pep talk to Danny from McFly has obviously done the trick.

  15. "The highlight has been a few sliding tackles"published at 21:28 GMT 3 March 2016

A very tired and wet Sav gives us his verdict:

    Quote Message

Well for the first three or four hours I was running around like I did when I was in the youth team, but then I remembered I'm over 40 and my legs started to hurt.

    Quote Message

The highlight has been a few sliding tackles. It's been great seeing so many people get involved - young and old, even walking football.

    Quote Message

I went to India a few weeks ago and saw what the money goes towards and it's such a good cause, so please keep donating.

Towards the end of his substantial shift, Robbie took some time to advise Danny Jones on strategies for a 12 hour stint on the pitch.

  18. Savage is off the bench for the last time...published at 21:12 GMT 3 March 2016

With less than five minutes to go, Robbie is on for the last time. It's cold and raining and he's struggling to move. Keep going Sav. You can do it.

  19. 10 minutes to go Robbiepublished at 21:06 GMT 3 March 2016

    Shearer 5s 116 - 115 Savage 5s

Mr Savage has just ten minutes to go. He opened the Sport Relief account at 9.18am with the first goal of this epic battle. Can he score the last goal of his twelve hour stint?

One goal will bring his team level. Come on Robbie, channel your inner Ronaldo.

You can show your support by donating to Sport Relief here, external

£25 could enable a disadvantaged child in Bangladesh to take part in sports activities for a year, improving their health, wellbeing and confidence.

£50 could pay for a disadvantaged young person in the UK to go on a sports coaching course giving them the skills they need to find work.

£70 could train a volunteer to run football and HIV awareness sessions for young people in a South African township.

Any amount, however small, will help make a difference.
