Tonight will start dry and clear but thick cloud and some showers will move into the mainland from the south-west after midnight. The Isles could escape mostly dry, however.

Tomorrow will see any early bright intervals replaced by cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain moving in from the south-west through the afternoon. Heavy downpours are likely to develop at times. Windy.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday
Saturday will see a mostly sunny start. Cloud building in from the west later on, with light rain developing on the Isles. Overnight into Sunday, it will turn windy with heavy rain pushing eastwards. This should clear to bright spells and the odd light shower through the day. Early rain on the Isles easing later on. Drier on the mainland, with cloud gradually breaking up.
