This evening will be windy with spells of showery rain. Rain will move away overnight, leaving clear spells behind, and a few showers on the Isles. Clouding over on the mainland and Orkney by dawn.

Saturday

Tomorrow, the mainland will be mostly dry with variable cloud and occasional sunny spells. Breezy on the Isles, with areas of cloud and scattered, light showers interspersed with some bright breaks.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday

Sunday will be windy and cloudy with rain on the Isles and western mainland. Drier on the eastern mainland. Monday looks to see a breezy day with mainly cloudy skies. A few patches of rain are possible on the Isles, but the mainland will be drier with a few sunny breaks possible in the east. Overnight into Tuesday, frontal rain will push southwards, leaving sunshine behind.
