You know it's a momentous occasion when Bobby Lammie is as chatty as that...

Watching the boys, there was a clear sense of satisfaction but also a tone of 'right, now the final' from them. Bruce Mouat referred to it as "our gold medal" and that is what these lads are here for.

Team GB's Bobby Lammie, speaking to BBC Sport: "I think we all played better in the second half. I think that was the hardest-fought win we've had and the hardest we have had to work in the curling game.

"Proud of the way we fought back and glad we brought our best when it really mattered."

Team GB's Hammy McMillan, speaking to BBC Sport: "In the ninth end, it was one of those ones. We were kind of happy being one up without rather than chasing the game.

"Last time we played them in a round-robin, it was the other way round and we lost. We felt we could control the game better if we kept one up."

Team GB's Grant Hardie, speaking to BBC Sport: "We have had struggles with technique all week, and it was the same again in the first half. The coaches gave us a drilling of what we needed to change.

"We adapted well in the second half. The shot from Bruce in the seventh, hopefully we will talk for a long time. That was incredible and gave us a chance to win."

On the final: "It will be the biggest match of our life. I don't know who it is against. We probably are going to play a better game than we did there. Excited to get the opportunity to go for gold again."

Whether it is enough for a medal, that is down to the next three women on the ice.

    Men's curling semi-finals - Norway 4-5 Canada

Canada win the extra end against Norway so it is they who will face Great Britain in the men's curling final on Saturday.

Canada won the round-robin meeting 9-5 but, as we've discovered already this evening, those round-robin results count for very little now.
