Here's Zoi Sadowski Synnott, the qualifying winner.

    It's very strong, it's 83.50!

The New Zealander discards her first run 27.75 and goes top of the standings with 172.25.

Mia Brookes drops to fourth for now, while Yu Seungeun of South Korea and Kokomo Murase of Japan sit second and third respectively.

Halfway through the final round of the men's normal hill and the medal places are occupied by Austria's Stephan Embacher, Finland's Vilho Palosaari, and Germany's Andreas Wellinger.

But there are still 16 jumpers to come, including the defending champion Ryoyu Kobayashi (seventh after round one) with athletes going in reverse order of their first-round scores.

Reigning champion Anna Gasser finishes with a final run of 76.25 and 121.25 overall.

The competitors are going out in a reverse of the standings after run two, so Mia Brookes' position doesn't change - she's 10th of 12.

There is a big French presence in the crowd tonight and they are in full voice after that performance from Fournier Beaudry and Cizeron - a season best score of 90.18.

They are not the flashiest couple, but they are perhaps the most technically perfect skaters in the competition.

Very much the ones to beat right now.

I think Mia has so much time on her 14s, she needs to take the risk and go for a 16.

This is glorious for women's snowboarding.

I think Mia needs another 14 and potentially another pop.

The first round is done and dusted in the men's normal hill and the field is being cut to 31 athletes for the final round.

Germany's Philipp Raimund leads the way with a score of 135.6.

France's Valentin Foubert (134.6) and Norway's Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal (132.9) complete the podium places.

Defending champion Ryoyu Kobayashi (130.8) is down in seventh place while another favourite - Slovenia's Domen Prevc (130.6) - is eighth.

Remember, scores are combined from the first and final rounds to decide the winner. They will jump in reverse order with the gold medal on the line, so Raimund has a long wait ahead.

  9. The controversial gold contenders from Francepublished at 19:15 GMT 9 February

France’s Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron may only be the seventh couple onto the ice tonight - long before many of the expected medal contenders - but don't bet against them being on top of the podium when all is said and done.

Cizeron won the Olympic title four years ago with Gabriela Papadakis - with who he has since had a very acrimonious split; she has accused him of controlling behaviour, which he denies.

He partnered with Fournier Baudry in November - who herself needed a new partner in controversial circumstances when her boyfriend Nikolaj Sorensen was suspended amid sexual assault allegations. She has since publicly defended Sorensen.

On the ice, they stormed to gold at the European Championships and looked strong in the team event. Ones to watch, for many reasons.

There’s plenty of support for Mia Brookes at the big air final.

I’ve been chatting to Team GB snowboard cross athlete Huw Nightingale, who’s here to cheer her on.

He’s been training for his event and says the course has quickened up over the last couple of days.

He reckons Brookes is going to go for it now she’s got a good first run on the board.

    Let’s see.

We'll have a new champion in the women's big air.

Austria's Anna Gasser only manages 45.00 on her second run, having scored 25.00 on her first - she can only discard one.

Meanwhile Japan's Momo Suzuki scores 81.50, the fourth best score of the night.

Of the first six competitors, only she and Australia's Tess Coady have landed their runs - we only had three not landing in the first run.

Germany edge France in overtimepublished at 19:05 GMT 9 February

Women's ice hockey - Germany 2-1 France (OT)

The final quarter-final spot in the women's ice hockey will go down to the wire after Germany could only beat France 2-1 in overtime.

A three-point regulation time win would have put the Germans through to the last eight with a game to spare but they could only collect two points .

That means Japan - who have three points to Germany's five- could clinch third place in Group B if they beat Sweden in regulation time and Germany lose to Italy.

Laura Kluge opened the scoring for the Germans with 35 seconds left in the first period before Estelle Duvin levelled the match in the 49th minute.

Germany earned a powerplay late in the third period when Clemence Boudin was penalised for delaying the game but couldn't capitalise on their player advantage.

Katarina Jobst-Smith came up with the winner in overtime, with twins Lilli and Luisa Welcke combining for the assist.

  17. Bekker and Hernandez safely throughpublished at 19:02 GMT 9 February

Just 67.31 from Sweden's Milla Ruud Reitan and Nikolaj Majorov, and that means GB's Phebe Bekker and James Hernandez are definitely through to Wednesday's final. They are guaranteed a top 20 finish in the rhythm dance, which qualifies them for the free dance.

Chatting to Robin Cousins last month, he thinks they could be even better than Fear and Gibson in the future.

This is certainly a good impression on their Olympic debut.

'We'll come out firing tomorrow'published at 18:59 GMT 9 February

    Curling mixed doubles semi-final

Bruce Mouat and Jen Dodds have been speaking after their defeat by Sweden in the mixed curling semi-finals. They will face Italy for the bronze medal from 13:05 GMT on Tuesday.

Mouat said: "We’re really gutted. We’ve had such a good week and it was quite exciting for us to go into this game feeling the way we were feeling but to come out and not even play close to the way we wanted to is hard to put into words really. They were the better team today."

Dodds on sixth end, where GB gave up five points: "I was pretty confident with the tick shot but it just didn’t curl the way I was expecting to. It put us on the back foot and Bruce was trying some really high technical shots and then I was a little heavy with my last. That sums up my game - I was probably always on the heavy side and we got punished for it and the Swedes played really well and capitalised on that."

Dodds on how they'll recover for tomorrow's bronze medal match: "We’ll probably speak to our coaches and speak things through and regroup for tomorrow. We don’t want this to affect our chances of a medal tomorrow so we’ll speak about the things that need to be spoken about and corrected and we’ll come out firing tomorrow."

    Richard Winton
    BBC Sport Scotland in Cortina

Wow! It will be Italy v GB in the bronze-medal match on Tuesday at 13:05 GMT after the hosts were beaten on the very last stone by the United States (9-8).

Amos Mosaner and Stefania Constantini look absolutely crestfallen, and no wonder. The Italians are defending world and Olympic champions and this is the rink on which Constantini learned the game.

Mosaner disappointment has turned to rage, though, and he's just absolutely leathered the Italian box with his broom. Raging.

The Mia Brookes Fan Club is in town, and LOUD.

After getting her score, Brookes ran over to a big pack of British fans in the crowd - which included her mum and dad - and those clad in Union Jacks around them started chanting.

“Mia, Mia Brookes, Mia Brookes, Mia, Mia Brookes!”

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na…
