  1. Happy Pancake Day!published at 17:23 GMT 17 February

    BBC Sport in Cortina

A lovely morale booster today for team BBC Sport in Cortina.

The wonderful engineering and tech crew have set up a makeshift pancake stand outside the BBC studio, complete with Nutella, lemon and sugar and everything.

The queue is quite significant but they look pretty good.

Not sure about that hygiene rating, though…

End of the second periodpublished at 17:12 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 3-2 Denmark

Phew. The buzzer sounds. What a frantic period of ice hockey that was.

We had four goals in six minutes and five in the period.

Denmark's Alexander True cancelled out Martin Necas' opener before David Kampf and Roman Cervenka helped Czech Republic take a 3-1 lead.

However, Nick Olesen pulled one back on the powerplay, meaning we'll head into the final period with this match finely poised at 3-2.

    Go. Catch a breath.

I had my hand up signalling tripping there but the Danish skater got the puck first before he took out the Czech attacker. That's why I'm not an ice hockey referee...

  7. 'Denmark are not out of this'published at 17:09 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 3-2 Denmark

    Kent Simpson
Ice hockey co-commentator on BBC Two

This is an announcement from Denmark to say 'we are not out of this!'

The level of skill here. Nick Olesen pivoted backwards and caught it on his forehand and then used his body to shield the puck against the defender.

    That is something else!

OH NO! How aren't Denmark level?

Oliver Bjorkstrand bursts clear and finds himself one-on-one with Czech netminder Lukas Dostal but can't get the puck past him. I don't know how that hasn't gone in.

Dostal was at full-stretch, belly on the floor, and either the blade of his left skate or the outside of the post has denied Denmark an equaliser.

GOAL - Denmark score on the powerplaypublished at 17:07 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 3-2 Denmark

Denmark do indeed get a goal back before the end of the second period!

With less than 20 seconds left on their powerplay, Nick Olesen skates in on the goal and plays a backhand around Lukas Dostal. Very slick.

Great coverage guys. Why don't curlers use communication devices rather than trusting to shouting, at times putting them in competition with the crowds?

Tomas Hertl is pinged for a trip on Denmark's Nikolaj Ehlers.

Denmark go on the powerplay with 4:38 left in the second period.

Can they get a goal to halve the deficit?

  13. 'Fabulous hockey right there!'published at 17:00 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 3-1 Denmark

    Kent Simpson
Ice hockey co-commentator on BBC Two

Martin Necas' pass opened the whole play up and the puck got the whole way through to David Kampf. A slick pass.

That is just fabulous hockey right there!

Crikey. I nearly had to write another goal entry.

Czech Republic's Martin Necas breaks free and shoots across Frederick Andersen, who sticks out a big right paw to deny the forward.

GOAL - Czech Republic extend their leadpublished at 16:56 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 3-1 Denmark

    Not another one!!!

Roman Cervenka, at the ripe old age of 40, outsprints Denmark captain Jesper Jensen Aabo and places the puck high above netminder Frederik Andersen to score Czech Republic's third goal.

If you haven't got this on BBC One right now - what are you doing?

GOAL - Czech Republic leadpublished at 16:53 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 2-1 Denmark

It's goals galore in the second period! We've had three goals in five minutes.

Czech Republic win a face-off on the left and in a crowded zone, Martin Necas switches wings to Jan Rutta, who puts the puck in front of the goal where it's touched in by David Kampf.

    Phew.

  18. 'What a response!'published at 16:51 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 1-1 Denmark

    Kent Simpson
Ice hockey co-commentator on BBC Two

What a goal! Denmark have the chance to make something change here.

The keeper had no chance and this is a huge goal to even the score.

    What a response from Denmark!

  19. ice hockey

GOAL - Denmark are levelpublished at 16:49 GMT 17 February

Men's ice hockey - Czech Republic 1-1 Denmark

Denmark were behind for barely three-and-a-half minutes.

Alexander True wins the puck of the left, picks out Joachim Blichfeld behind the goal and follows in to the net to collect the one-two pass.

    It's Czech Republic 1-1 Denmark.

I would love to have the guts for ski jumping, but unfortunately I don't! So think it would have to be curling.
