    Women's freeski big air final

As we mentioned a short while ago, the start of the men's big air final has been slightly delayed until 18:45 GMT. We'll start the preview for that shortly.

In last night's women's final, Kirsty Muir once again came heartbreakingly close to a Winter Olympic medal for Team GB with her second fourth-place finish of the Games.

Muir scored a combined 174.75 points from her best two runs, 3.5 points shy of Italian bronze medallist Flora Tabanelli.

It came exactly a week after the 21-year-old missed out on slopestyle bronze by just 0.41 points.

Canada's Megan Oldham won gold with China's defending champion Eileen Gu - competing in a big air competition for the first time since winning the Olympic title four years ago - settling for silver this time.

    Bobsleigh - two-man (run three)

Great Britain's Brad Hall and Leon Greenwood (replacing injured brakeman Taylor Lawrence) complete their third run.

They were eighth overnight, trailing by 1.64 seconds.

They're only going at 80%, with the focus now on the four-man event, and it's reflected in their time.

55.72 is the slowest effort of run three so far and their overall time is 2:47.26 (+2.47).

The German fans are out in force this evening and it’s not surprising considering their dominance in this event.

They could end up with a clean sweep of medals this evening - but in which order?

    Bobsleigh - two-man (run three)

The top five teams have completed their third run and the order of the standings is unchanged.

What has happened, however, is Germany's Johannes Lochner and Georg Fleischhauer have extended their lead at the top (from 0.80 to 0.92 seconds).

Their compatriots Adam Ammour and Alexander Schaller have also strengthened their grip on the bronze medal, so the Germany 1-2-3 is well and truly on!

    1. Johannes Lochner/Georg Fleischhauer (Germany) - 2:44.79
    2. Francesco Friedrich/Alexander Schuller (Germany) - 2:45.71 (+0.92)
    3. Adam Ammour/Alexander Schaller (Germany) - 2:46.17 (+1.38)
    4. Frankie del Duca/Joshua Williamson (USA) - 2:46.62 (+1.83)
    5. Mihai Cristian Tentea/George Iordache (Romania) - 2:46.84 (+2.05)

This is always a big game and it is getting to the point where every game is crucial.

I feel confident in this GB team. They have played extremely well and their lost games have usually only come down to one shot. We could easily be undefeated by now.

Kristen Spours will represent Great Britain tonight, fifth on the ice at about 18:18 GMT - so in about 10 minutes' time.

The 25-year-old from Woking says she will leave the sport this year after recently recovering from surgery following a spinal injury sustained last March.

Spours told BBC Sport her still-healing injury was stopping her performing some skills, and she had struggled badly with her mental health during the past year.

But she has made it to the Games and would love to ensure one more performance. The cameras focused on her face in the tunnel where the athletes walk out - she gave a big smile and a peace sign.

There are 29 women in the short program tonight - the top 24 progress to tomorrow's free skate.

We're underway and Canada have the hammer - the right to throw last in the first end.

That's considered to be important, but GB had that against Norway yesterday and lost...

There's also been a feeling that the British rinks here have performed better with the yellow stones. That might be nonsense, of course, but that is the colour Bruce Mouat and the boys will use tonight.

There are plenty of fans of Adeliia Petrosian in tonight, cheering and carrying banners bearing her face.

But there are a smattering of boos too, which is very unusual for the figure skating.

Petrosian - wearing a sparkly red jacket and black trousers, and performing to a Michael Jackson medley - showed her medal credentials with a spotless routine including an excelled triple flip and toe loop.

It earns her a season best score of 72.89 - that will put her high on the leaderboard by the end of tonight.

An absolute barrage of soft toys came down from the stands for Petrosian after she finished her routine - throwing gifts onto the ice is a common sign of appreciation in figure skating.

The stands are set back a bit from the rink in Milan, so a few cameramen may have taken a teddy to the back of the head.

The rink girls had to work overtime to clean up the ice before the next contender.

The Canadians have had quite the time of it here.

Accusations of cheating, swearing at opponents and illicit filming are not very 'curling'.

Will they be on their best behaviour tonight?

Denmark have pulled their goalie for a 6 on 5 out-field advantage.

They could get a goal. There could be an empty-netter for Czech Republic. There could be a goalie goal if Lukas Dostal lofts the puck down the ice. Anything can happen!
