They have stolen one. This is grave for Team GB now. They are three down with two ends to play.

They do, at least, have the hammer, but they need a big score here to have any chance...

Since Adeliia Petrosian performed, 15 skaters have been and gone - none of them have knocked the Russian champion off the top of the standings.

The scores are getting closer though, and we have, in theory, the 12 strongest performers to come.

First of those is Japanese 17-year-old Ami Nakai, who has had a brilliant first senior season.

Two-time Olympic champions Sweden were one of three teams to finish on six points in Group B but ended up in third place, forcing them to come the qualification play-off.

The only team to beat them at the tournament so far are defending champions Finland (4-1), with Sweden picking up wins over Italy (5-2) and Slovakia (5-3).

Sweden won gold the last time Italy hosted the Olympics (2006) but haven’t won a men’s ice hockey medal since 2014 (silver). They finished fourth in Beijing four years ago. They’ve finished third at the past two World Championships, with their most recent title in 2018.

Latvia finished bottom of Group C, losing to USA (5-1) and Denmark (4-2) either side of a 4-3 win over Germany.

Latvia’s best performance at an Olympics is eighth in 2014 but they did finish third at the 2023 World Championships.

Agh, the clank of granite goes against Bruce Mouat, an unfortunate ricochet leaving Canada lying two and Brad Jacobs draws in a beauty to claim three. That could be massive with just three ends left.

Right, what have Team GB got here? They need to get at least two here to give themselves a chance in the final two ends.

    Take a bow, Tormod Frostad!

He absolutely stomped the big air final and in these conditions too. An incredibly high-quality final with such high scoring from the medallists.

He had only had one World Cup win to his name before tonight but he can add "Olympic champion" now.

His family rightly went wild when the final score was shown.

And an overall score of 191.25 is enough to earn Matej Svancar a bronze medal.

The three medallists all registered more than 91 points with each of their three runs. Eight of those nine runs scored 95 points or more.

    Ridiculous.
