The snow has well and truly set in.

I was braving the outside world to go and get these photos when they announced over the tannoy the start had been delayed.

At least I have a warm press centre to dive into. There is a fan shelter but it definitely won't fit everyone.

Hi Roger, they used to have a mixed team event at the World Championship made up of one run each of men's skeleton, women's skeleton, two-man bobsleigh, and two-woman bobsleigh.

That event featured from 2007-2019 and Germany won gold eight times out of 10.

Here are some pictures from Livigno, where athletes had been warming up for the big air final.

That snow does look pretty heavy, doesn't it?

The start of the women's final in the big air will definitely be delayed because of a blizzard.

It was due to start at 18:30 GMT, but it has been postponed. Another update is expected soon as to whether it can go ahead tonight or not.

Each team has had one of their two jumps in the first round of the men's super team.

Austria, who were the last to jump, lead the way thanks to Jan Hoerl, who laid down a score of 151.8.

They're followed by Slovenia (141.7), Japan, Poland (both 137.4) and Norway (131.5).

12 of the 17 teams progress from this round.

The favourites have been down the track.

Germany's Laura Nolte remains at the top of the standings but her lead has been cut following identical track-record runs from Elana Meyers Taylor (+0.15) and Kaillie Armbruster Humphries (+0.24). They both completed their third runs in 59.08.

Germany's Lisa Buckwitz has climbed from sixth to fourth thanks to a third run of 59.11.

It's about the strengths of the respective players, Andy. Sophie Jackson is a strong tactician, so is a natural skip. Rebecca is good under the pressure of delivering the final stone and is a strong sweeper.

Quite a few teams in the field will have non-traditional set ups like this.

The women's big air final - featuring GB's Kirsty Muir - is due to start in about 20 minutes but it has just started snowing like crazy here in Livigno, swirling so much it's actually quite hard to open your eyes outside.

I'd say it's incredibly unlikely this final is going to start on time, if at all.

No, not that LSD...

In curling terms, we're taking about Last Stone Draw, which happens before every match in the round-robin stages.

Logan Gray, one of BBC Sport's curling commentators, can explain...

"Two members of the rink play a draw - one clockwise, one anti-clockwise. The team with the smallest aggregate distance to the button wins the hammer, which is the right to throw last in the first end.

"How important is that? Vital. Bruce Mouat's rink have won around 85% of the matches in which they've won the LSD. It also serves as a tie-breaker at the end at the round-robin stages, so it can be the difference between reaching the semi-finals or not."

And, as it happens, GB have won the LSD for this match against Switzerland and will have the hammer. In fact, they've got the best LSD score of all eight teams on the ice right now.

If Canada are playing USA in the gold medal match, they have to change the way they play.

The results speak for themselves. They've lost seven straight games against them.

The Americans are having a heck of a time with this team, Canada will have to find a new approach.

USA are through to the gold medal match. They've beaten Sweden 5-0, with goals for Cayla Barnes, Taylor Heise, Abbey Murphy, Kendall Coyne, and Hayley Scamurra - the last three came in a three-minute burst in the second period.

USA have scored at least five goals in all six of their matches at this Olympics and haven't conceded since their tournament opener.

The reigning world champions will face either Canada or Switzerland in Thursday's gold medal match. The second semi-final is taking place today from 20:10 GMT.

As for Sweden, they're through to Thursday's bronze medal match where they'll be eyeing their first medal since 2006.

Time to fling some skiers through the air.

After the women's large hill made it's debut last night, we've got another new Olympic event in the men's super team.

Teams of two men each jump in three scored rounds. Results are calculated by the cumulative scores of both jumpers.

The super team replaces the men’s large hill team event, contested between 1988 and 2022, in which four-man teams competed over two rounds.

The change reduces the premium on depth and raises the jeopardy level – fewer athletes and fewer jumps mean any mistake is magnified.

The top 12 teams after the first round progress to the second round (18:50 GMT), from which the leading eight teams advance to the final (19:31).

Germany’s Laura Nolte leads the way after two runs. The 27-year-old is a two-time monobob world champion (2023, 2024) and former Youth Olympic champion. She finished fourth in Beijing and second at the 2025 World Championships.

Reigning Olympic champion Kaillie Humphries (+0.31) is in third place. The American, 40, is a former monobob world champion and previously won multiple Olympic medals in the two-woman bobsleigh while representing Canada.

Second-placed Elana Meyers Taylor (USA) was a silver medallist in Beijing and won bronze at the 2025 World Championships. Compatriot Kaysha Love, currently in fifth, is the defending world champion.

Fourth-placed Melanie Hasler is the European champion in both monobob and two-woman bobsleigh. Sixth-placed Lisa Buckwitz is the only other pilot within one second of first place and was the overall monobob World Cup champion in 2024-25.

USA's Kirsten Simms goes to the penalty box for the second time this game. She's pinged for a cross-check on Ida Karlsson.

Sweden go on the powerplay.

Rebecca Morrison: “Unique” is how more than one of her team-mates describe her. Always up for a giggle. And although Team Morrison are named after her she, unusually, is no longer the skip and throws lead.

Sophie Sinclair: “Chatty, bubbly, doesn’t stop talking,” according to one of her rink. “The one who will hide around a corner and jump out on you,” says another. One of alternate Fay Henderson’s jobs will be to occupy her during the day when the rest want a nap.

Jen Dodds: The team call themselves “Jen and the kids”, given the Beijing gold medallist is that little bit older. She’s competitive, meticulous and freakishly strong, and is “the one you want around when things kick off”.

Sophie Jackson: The skip of the team and perhaps the most outwardly reserved. One of her team-mates describes her as “a force” and a combination of logical and caring.

From 18:00, the final two runs in the women’s monobob will get under way in Cortina, with a gold medal waiting to be awarded.

The pilots completed their first two runs down the bendy track on Sunday and will do two more on Monday.

The bobsleigh pilot with the fastest overall time will be crowned champion!

Curl had just had a shot well saved at the back post, Emma Soderberg diving across her line sharply and spreading herself for the save, and the American forward lost her footing in her follow through to take out Wikner Zienkiewicz.
