Chemmy Alcott Four-time Olympic alpine ski racer on BBC One
Normally the deficit and margin Dave Ryding is in would be huge, and he knows he's much closer to these athletes in training. But this isn't training.
We saw in the giant slalom, the athletes with the earlier bid numbers capitalising on the clean piste and take a big, big lead going into the second run. But slalom is flipped.
So, what Dave actually wants now is to be pushed up the rankings - he's in 18th, but he wants to be closer to 20-25 so that he gets a cleaner run on the second.

Alpine skiing - men's slalom
Team GB alpine skier Dave Ryding, speaking to Chemmy Alcott on BBC One on finishing his first run: "That's about all I can take from it. Let's see. Let's see if I can find one last run, let's see what I can do.
"I struggled because I couldn't see what was under my feet, so I just couldn't trust it. Too many little scrubs here and that compounds to a hell of a bad run. Unfortunately bad. But let's see if I can go for it in the second run."

We've seen people try but you cannot recover from mistakes today so you have to be solid. But if you're too solid, you're going to be slow so it's very, very tough.
Treacy returns after surprise finalpublished at 10:23 GMT 16 February

Short Track - Men's 500m

Britain’s Niall Treacy exceeded expectations by reaching the final of the 1500m on Saturday night.
The 25-year-old returns to action today in the 500m heats - but this is his least favourite distance.
He’s also up against Dutchman Jens van 'T Wout, who has already won both
the 1000m and 1500m, in his heat.
Treacy needs to finish in the top two of his four-man race, or be one of the four fastest third-place finishers, to progress to the quarter-finals tomorrow.
The Team GB rink will be feeling a lot better about themselves after that.
They still need at least another three wins from their final four round-robin matches if they are to reach the semi-final, but they've still got a shot at it.
They're back on the ice against Switzerland at 18:05 GMT.
Before then, the men take on Norway at 13:05. Until then...
The fourth and final quarter-final is done and that was a frantic finish on the line.
Canada's Courtney Sarault is through to the semi-final and so is Italy's Elisa Confortola.
Michelle Velzeboer of the Netherlands, sister of Xandra, was pipped to the line by Confortola to finish in third but is the fastest third-place skater so progresses to the semi-final.
Xandra Velzeboer of the Netherlands skated a perfect race there and qualifies for the semi-final.
As does Kim Gil-li of South Korea who crossed the line behind Velzeboer.
Surprisingly, Kristen Santos-Griswold finished in third and with a time of one minute and 29.102 seconds, is unlikely to even progress as fastest third-place skater.
