    That's pretty sad actually.

If that three had come off in the first end, it would have made a whole lot of difference for Great Britain. There wasn't much really between the two pairs, with them trading 1s all the way.

They tried their best. The came out here and gave it everything.

That's gutting for Jen Dodds and Bruce Mouat.

They have lost back-to-back bronze medal matches now.

    It's all over.

Italy Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner have beaten Great Britain 5-3 to win the mixed doubles bronze.

The Italian duo have just asked the crowd to quieten down as they concentrate on getting the perfect final shot to win the bronze medal.

Italy are playing with their power play in this eighth end too which doesn't make it any easier for Team GB.

Sadly it is like Jen and Bruce are a different duo since the group stage. The confidence doesn't seem to be there. Hopefully this turns around, but to have such a near perfect group and end up with no medal would be a huge failure.

    Simon, Lancashire

Huge failure seems a little harsh, Simon. I would say disappointing.

Jen Dodds and Bruce Mouat have to chuck the kitchen sink at this final end if they want that bronze medal.

It's going to be a tough ask given how the world champions have been playing, though.

Jen Dodds needed to catch much more than that, maybe even a quarter of a stone more.

    A great attempt though.

They need to throw everything and the kitchen sink at this final end. They have to play this end for themselves, by blocking up the centre and forcing Italy into a mistake.

It's nice to see Jen Dodds is still smiling.

She has just pulled one back for Team GB with her final shot but it was a tad too aggressive.

If she had pulled it off she could have got three or four. But we settle for one as we go into the eighth and final end.

    GB trail 4-3.

So do we still have time to turn this around and get the medal before school pick-up starts?

    Rebecca, Richmond

Depends on your pick-up time Rebecca ... I'm going to say it will be wrapped up by 15:00 if that helps.

As Jackie says, it's not over for Team GB, but Jen Dodds and Bruce Mouat do need to respond in this seventh end.

They need something to go their way against the reigning world champions.

That is Stefania Constantini's favourite shot! She loves drawing the one-foot and she is pretty good at it.

Bruce Mouat was looking for Jen Dodds' shot to be perfect, just a quarter of a stone further across would've made Italy's shot much more difficult.

It's small margins here. I'm still not worried for Great Britain.

Stefania Constantini, on the ice where she learned the sport, has been a picture of tranquility throughout and that was a perfect shot in an incredibly pressurised moment.

That was a massive final shot by Italy.

I know we are all routing for Team GB here but that was a magnificent shot. Near-perfect.

Italy have restored their lead to two.

Jen Dodds and Stefania are both brilliant, but the Italian partner Amos seems to be playing better than Bruce Mouat.

Team GB are using their time out to speak to national coach Greg Drummond.

It's fascinating to hear their analysis. Well it was, until the Italian crowd got rowdy and I could no longer hear them ...

Getting rid of the guard is a smart call from Italy.

The temptation is to make something happen in the house, but Italy just need to guarantee themselves a score at this stage and guards at the front of the house won't help that cause.
