The frustration is really showing now as she nets on her third game point. She knows that this surely is game over if she doesn't get over the line here.

  20. Andreeva aiming to become one of youngest finalistspublished at 14:51 BST 4 June

Mirra Andreeva may only be 19, but she is contesting her second semi-final at Roland Garros having also reached that stage in 2024.

If she goes on to win the title, she would become the third-youngest first-time Grand Slam champion this century, behind only Maria Sharapova and Emma Raducanu.

While Marta Kostyuk has an unrivalled unbeaten streak on clay, no player has amassed more wins on the surface this season - or indeed overall in 2026 - than Andreeva.

The Russian 19-year-old has 34 match wins this year, with 20 earned on clay.

Victory today would see her become the fourth-youngest woman to reach the French Open final in the last 30 years, after Martina Hingis, Kim Clijsters and Coco Gauff.
