It just had to end this way after so many twists and turns over four and a half hours.

It will be a tie-break to 10 points to determine who reaches the second week of Wimbledon.

  3. Dimitrov a break uppublished at 18:41 BST 4 July

    Dimitrov 4-1 Berrettini*

It's advantage Grigor Dimitrov in the first set.

The Bulgarian nailed a passing shot at deuce on the Matteo Berrettini serve to bring up break point and gets it as the Italian goes long with a forehand.

Dimitrov proceeds to hold to love, consolidating the break and seize control of the opening set.

Arthur Fery races to a 40-0 lead.

There are gasps around court 18 when a graphic shows just how close the ball was to being in on that last shot.

A little bit of pressure builds on the Briton when Zizou Bergs wins successive points.

But Fery comes up with a huge serve and it's returned long.

    On to the tie-break...

Overall the backhand sliced drop shot has been a very good shot for Zizou Bergs today. He has missed a couple, but overall they have been very effective for him.

I think the doctor has just come out again to check all is OK with Arthur Fery. It looks as though he is alright, but it has to effect him in some way.

The medic has just come out at the change of ends to make sure that everything is OK with Arthur Fery's nose and he seems to have given the thumbs up.

Fery will serve to stay in the competition.

Trailing 30-0, Arthur Fery chases a drop shot but the angle is far too acute and he returns wide.

Fery ensures Zizou Bergs won't be getting a hold to love when he forces a backhand winner down the line.

Bergs gets the job done and is guaranteed at least a tie-break to decide this match.

  10. Still on serve on Centrepublished at 18:34 BST 4 July

    Dimitrov 2-1 Berrettini*

Big serving has been the order of the day so far in this one on Centre Court.

There have been a couple of eye-catching shots from both Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov and Matteo Berrettini of Italy as well but the serving has been they key.

Dimitrov has two aces through his first couple of service games, while Berrettini slapped down three in his solitary game on serve.

Meanwhile, on court two, another Italian Lorenzo Sonego is a set up on American sixth seed Taylor Fritz. It's still on serve in the second set.

    And there it is.

Court 18 was actually Arthur Fery's request, believe it or not. There are some requests that the tournament can accommodate and some that aren't practical, but he's had some good victories out there.

You could say there is even more support for British players on the bigger courts and it can put a bit more pressure on you, but it is all speculative conversation about his reasoning.

Arthur Fery is still receiving treatment.

Fery's previous two nose bleeds happened in between sets but this one has the potential to cause some major disruption at such a key stage of the match.

  15. 'Fery has just kept on fighting back'published at 18:31 BST 4 July

Arthur Fery has shown a lot of resilience today. He has been down all day after losing that first set 6-2, coming back in the second, going down again third and showing that resilience again in the fourth. He has just kept on fighting back.

It is never easy when you get an interruption like this at any stage of a match, let alone in the fifth set at 5-4.
