That is a great moment when you break and you have got one of the biggest serves in the world.

Looks like the roof is going to be required this evening, maybe.

That's so well deserved for Matteo Berrettini. He has been absolutely looking for better striking this entire match. Even though he was getting annoyed with himself, he kept on committing to swinging through the ball. More importantly, he moved his feet better on that shot and he got the reward from it.

Grigor Dimitrov uses all his experience to outwork Matteo Berrettini but the Italian finds the gap next point to force deuce with a backhand passing shot.

I would like to see Matteo -Berrettini take a bit more of a risk on some of his returns. He is getting such little opportunities, so he should be going for it on a second serve at 15-30 up.

  7. Deucepublished at 20:07 BST 4 July

    *Dimitrov 6-3 6-4 2-3 Berrettini

Matteo Berrettini keeps a point alive and has half a chance at 15-30 as Grigor Dimitrov finds the net.

A superb forehand winner brings Dimitrov level, before Berrettini goes into the net with a tame forehand.

The Italian is visibly frustrated with that one, but he recovers to force deuce on the next point.

    *Dimitrov 6-3 6-4 2-3 Berrettini

    Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Matteo Berrettini needs a double espresso shot, but there's nothing wrong with that! Although, you can't take on too much caffeine or else it gets picked up on a drugs test.

Anyway, he just needs to get fired up because he seems a little bit sluggish. He isn't quite getting into the right position for some of his backhands. He isn't playing poorly, don't get me wrong, Grigor Dimitrov is just unsettling him.

    *Dimitrov 6-3 6-4 2-3 Berrettini

Matteo Berrettini scoops a backhand wide before finding the corner with a deep forehand.

Grigor Dimitrov plays a fine backhand at the net which draws oohs from the crowd, but it's in vain as Berrettini comes through with an ace.

The Italian needs to apply more pressure to Dimitrov's serve now.

If he is going to make an impression in this match Berrettini then he is going to have to do better than those two returns.

He doesn't need to give anymore encouragement to Dimitrov, he's already doing a really good job.

Berrettini needs to raise his quality.

Matteo Berrettini dumps a tame forehand into the net and Grigor Dimitrov has the first break point of the third set...

But the Italian finds that bit extra and controls the point before finishing it off with a volley at the net.

A nice rally follows at advantage Berrettini and it is the former Wimbledon finalist who comes out on top after a neat exchange at the net.

Still on serve in the third.

    Dimitrov 6-3 6-4 1-1 Berrettini*

Simple as you like for Grigor Dimitrov.

Another ace for the Bulgarian, who is playing at a level we've just not seen from him this year prior to Wimbledon.

He's got plenty of motivation, of course, after last year's heartbreak and he's showing all of it so far.

Grigor Dimitrov is a set away from the fourth round.

The Bulgarian has been excellent to this point and holds with relative ease, to 15, to go up two sets to love.

Matteo Berrettini needs to change things, and quickly, or his tournament will soon be over.

When Matteo Berrettini gets his first serve in then he has very little to worry about. But it's not happening often enough.

So the Italian will be thankful to get a couple in when down 0-30 after a superb backhand jumping volley from Grigor Dimitrov.

However, Berrettini gives Dimitrov a look at another second serve to give up a break point and the Bulgarian then manages to deal with a first serve, following up with a strong forehand.

The point ends with Berrettini plinking the ball into the net. Dimitrov breaks and will serve for a two-set lead.
