Wimbledon's version of hydration breaks = closing the roof! It completely destroys momentum, it is only July for flips sake!

Matteo Berrettini is bringing out all his tricks now as a couple of drop shots has Grigor Dimitrov scurrying forward in vain, before the Italian holds to love with a bit of help from the top of the net.

This is better from Grigor Dimitrov as he gets to 40-15 with Matteo Berrettini unable to dig a forehand out at the baseline.

The Bulgarian drags a forehand wide, promoting some concerned looks from his coaching team, but gets over the line next point as Berrettini finds the net.

There is no player, past or present, that doesn't respect the feat of coming back from two sets down to win in five sets.

Matteo Berrettini has done it once in his illustrious career in the first round of Wimbledon 2018. Grigor Dimitrov has lost one time from two sets up in the first round of Wimbledon 2019.

    *Dimitrov 6-3 6-4 3-6 0-2 Berrettini

Grigor Dimitrov gets to 0-30 but Matteo Berrettini battles back with some big first serves.

Dimitrov hasn't quite found his range after that break when the roof was closed, and after a backhand floats long from the Bulgarian, Berrettini smashes a forehand winner to win the game.

Well it is one thing getting an early break, but you have to back it up.

Matteo Berrettini has put himself under pressure here at 0-30 with that double fault...

Same play again! Matteo Berrettini takes the first game on the break after the resumption.

What a satisfying start for him! I wonder how the conditions feel out there compared to having an open-air court.

We're back under way now on Centre Court under the closed roof, and Matteo Berrettini has settled quickest.

It just feels like the Italian has the upper hand at the moment and he brings up an early break point, before putting it away with a lovely volley at the net.

All the momentum is with Berrettini.

It is a big moment for Grigor Dimitrov. He obviously had a really unfortunate experience last year at a time when he was really putting Jannik Sinner to the sword. He has had a long road back to good health, he has had to rebuild his confidence and his ranking has continued to plummet.

He got here with the wild card and he is trying to take full advantage of it.

I understand they need to shut the roof to turn the lights on, but I'm slightly intrigued why Matteo Berrettini has gone off with all of his bags including his racquets. It isn't going to take that long to shut the roof!

I'm not sure why he needs his racquets off court, he is probably going to need a few more of those on court as we go into this fourth set.

    *Dimitrov 6-3 6-4 3-6 0-0 Berrettini

They're closing the roof on Centre Court and Grigor Dimitrov is not happy about it.

He believes there's still a few more games which can be played in the fading light.

I wonder if he's having flashbacks to last year, where shortly after the roof closing, the Bulgarian had to forfeit his match against eventual winner Jannik Sinner because of a pectoral injury.

Matteo Berrettini is putting everything into these serves as a 137mph bullet brings up set point.

The Italian takes it as Grigor Dimitrov goes into the net.

He was made to work extremely hard for it but Berrettini has taken this match to a fourth set.

Dimitrov's feet moved so fast, they fell away from underneath him!

And he still almost got the net-cord.

A big miss from Matteo Berrettini gifts Grigor Dimitrov break point but the Italian makes amends next point with a fizzing forehand.

Berrettini saves another break point shortly after as Dimitrov slips over. The Bulgarian's OK though, as he gives the thumbs up to Berrettini.

    We go to deuce again...

Grigor Dimitrov is gesturing to himself and telling himself to stick to the game plan. He is pointing his hands to his head as if to say: 'Stay in that range, stay in that motion, stay in that path'. He is reminding himself to stick to what he agreed with his two coaches.

I did say Matteo Berrettini was still living on the edge before this service game.

American sixth seed Taylor Fritz has completed a come-from-behind win against Italy's Lorenzo Sonego on court two.

Fritz, who made it through to the semi-finals last year, passed up a set point when leading 5-6 in the fourth but went on to wrap up victory with a tie-break.

He will face either fellow American Frances Tiafoe or Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik in round four.

That was a Roger Federer shot!

The crowd are urging Matteo Berrettini on because they want this to go to a fourth set.

They show their appreciation mid-game though as Grigor Dimitrov plays a nonchalant backhand winner down the line. He made that look easy.

Berrettini goes into the net and we go to deuce.

Grigor Dimitrov, serving to stay in the set, takes the attack to Matteo Berrettini with a perfect serve and volley.

The Bulgarian gets to 40-15 and then plays a brilliant lob at the net to secure the hold.

Berrettini will now serve for the third set.
